Warning: Low Estrogen Post

Why are we all in this handbasket, and does anybody feel it getting hot?

And on another note,
The John Adams series on HBO ended last night.
*sigh*
As usual, I found the book better.
David McCullough has written some masterpieces.
In my opinion, many masterpieces.
and
should be your next reads if you haven't read them yet.

I love George, John, Thomas and Ben.
I have an active crush on them all. To this very day.

Flag pin?
You must be kidding me.
$3.65 a gallon to fill my car yesterday.
My Wall Street friends are getting laid off in droves.
Other industries are following suit.
Big bank bailouts.
Roadside bombs.

Flag pin?
I miss George, John, Thomas and Ben.

Flag pins? You gotta be kidding. And I thought gas here, at 3.29, was high. You poor thing. Any end in sight? I don't actually fill up anymore. I refuse to.

Get you some of the estrogen creme, spread it on the carpet and roll in it! There! That's better!
What? You still feel the same?

No surprise.... I'm with you on this.

My car only takes premium (hindsight) and I've been paying 3.68 the last few weeks. I'm sure it's more this morning.

I don't care about lapel pins as much as a good plan on getting out of the handbasket.

Priorities people!

We need change here in the good old US of A and we need it yesterday.

Do NOT ask me my opinion of our president!

I pity whomever is going to be the next president for better or for worse they have a mess to clean up and will probably be blamed for the aftermath of hurricane GWB. The news is full of nothing but crisis... hold on to your bloomers ladies is gonna be a rough ride

$3.58 here too. And that's regular gas. $3.78 for premium. Unbelievable. I told my hubby that I predicted gas would be up to $4 this summer. No vacation for us at those prices.

We don't have cable TV so I missed Adams movie. I really wanted to see it. I'll have to get the book. (They are always better anyway. ;) )

I guarantee the next president won't be any better. This country won't be getting any better anytime soon no matter who is elected into office. :(

I drive a diesel truck. I've been paying $3.86 per gallon, give or take the way it keeps changing, for weeks. I don't see "better" any time soon!

Agree with all the above, but just wanted to add that I miss George, John, Paul and Ringo.

Ironically, after I posted this, I heard a commentary that we could be looking at $6. Put that in your tank and think...

I watched the debate and the more than 3 minutes at least spent on flag pins. Don't get me started!!!

I, too, watched John Adams. Thanks for the advice on reading the book. At first, I was really into it. But then my spirits lagged.

And I can't believe how high the price of gas is! I paid $3.48 this morning in Maryland.
