I have a little confession.
I have cheated on my diet a little bit this week.
Forgive me fellow hungry blogsters, for I have consumed:
1) A Fresca. But in my defense it was Bridge night.
2) 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese. I know, cottage cheese is cheating on a diet? But I truly feel I was allowed because I had worked out for an hour, and had 45 minutes on the treadmill that day. I was hungry.
3) 13 almonds instead of 11. They were small. Really.
4) An additional 1/2 cup grape tomatoes. I can't help it, I love those suckers.
5) 4 teaspoons of olive oil on Tuesday instead of my alloted 3. I couldn't help it. I was watching Giada (Everyday Italian) on the Food Channel. I won't watch that any more for a while. Trust.
6) I had 5 ounces of meat last night instead of 4. I am going to do extra cardio today to make up for it.
On a positive note, the alcohol-abstinence has not been as big a deal as I thought it would. The food on the Sonoma Diet is delicious. And everyone is still alive here. The children are leaving for a ski weekend after school today, so that will help;)
Anybody else have anything they want to confess share? Hm?

I believe that you almost need to cheat on a diet to succeed.Right? Right? Please say right...
I have a new troll that is ever so much fun. It's all about my blog post from Thursday about the pantless skier. Of all things to go postal over, LOL!
None of your cheating involved alcohol or mindless dessert consumption - amazing.
Confession? After painting 2 rooms, my hands are as smooth as a crocodile. I'm in dire need of a hot wax dip and a manicure.
Eh, small potatoes. Wait! No potatoes.
When a Fresca, half a cup of grape tomatoes and a mouthful of fat free cottage cheese is cheating on a diet, the apocalypse is upon us.
Congratulations on sticking with this for over 4 days now, that is very impressive. You have far more will power and discipline than I do.
I bow to you. I really do. I cannot even comprehend 11 almonds, and those grape tomatoes ARE pretty hard to resist. You are doing great.
And I did not think it was possible, but deprivation makes you even funnier than usual.
Cheating? Me? Ahh..yes...but I am back on the bandwagon today. Those sneeky little Pillsbury Cinnabuns should have been thrown out but, alas, they jumped into the oven on their own and then on my plate. Little stinkers..
I already confessed my scone. Last night I made a super high protein, low fat red lentil soup with low fat chicken sausage. I even stopped at one bowl. (I was full from the scone)
Yeah, I am busted too.
I had a couple of drinks last night, but they were (and always are) with diet Ginger.
I will also be hitting the gym a bit harder today.
I agree with Kim-D you are comin' up with some good ones....the funny side has definately shone through this week........you are doing so GREAT! Not me.........I've decided I must be built for comfort and not speed and I am a definate STRESS eater....I did have a frozen yogurt but covered it in crushed almond roca and hot caramel...
You're doing great Mama!
I'm so proud.
Believe it or not I have not cheated ~not that the thought has not entered my mind!
Ask me Monday how I'm doing!
I only went to the gym 3 times this week instead of 5
I am watching what I eat. In a totally different manner than you. As in "I watch it go in my mouth - then on my hips (stomach, arms, legs ...).
You're doing an amazing job! Keep up the good work.
Last night I had three of the Hershey's Miniatures Mr. Goodbar AND one plain Hershey's Miniatures. They were fabulous.
you make me giggle... I cant get mike into walmart more than a couple times a year... he will not go to missouri with me... and thanks to mother I can explain that one away ... get him to Europe LOL not in this life time...I got him to missouri one time he was best man at my fathers wedding and that almost did nto happen because our van broke down in Atlanta and we had to come back and rent a different car... saving for the female kid who wants to go to collage and got out investments report yesterday.... it is SICKENING has lost half of what it was worth ... and it was not even enough to go to school two semersters now... makes me ill...
Yes, I will confess...I am not in a good mood today and may not be tomorrow either. AND YOU KNOW WHY!
Lisa--I am very sorry. But I warned you about playing an SEC team. There is no conference to compare;) None. And I wonder how many calories I burned cheering at the TV?
BUT..that wasn't EXACTLY Cheating! At least you kept the extra proportions down to a miminum.
IT wasn't the 7 Minature Mr Goodbar's or the 4 YORK Peppermint Patties...I thought WINE was going to be HARD to GIVE UP...
30 Lashes with a wet low-carb noodle! :)
No, CB's cheating had no effect on me. I WAS AT A MEETING!!!! One of us has NOT cheated.
I am allowed to have unlimited grape tomatoes and low-fat cottage cheese. However, I do have to wait 14 days for a glass of wine.
You win.
...*giggling*@'Starwoodgal's' comment...lol Better let Squazz handle that one...*wink*wink* lol... ;o)
...Seriously now, you call that cheating? Really? A Big Mac is cheating. Eating a whole bag of Cheetos is cheating. Drinking a bottle of wine is cheating. A whole row of Oreos is cheating. A Grand Slam at Denny's is what? Cheating. lol... If I wore a hat I'd be tipping it to you right now - I'm really proud of you! I think in spite of pushing the boundary a lil' that you should give yourself a pat on the back... You go girl! ;o)
...Fat-free blessings... :o)
Hope the diet works out for you and you don't end up in prison! Keep up the good work. Those were just tiny, tiny infractions. You only need to be concerned when you're wolfing down a Big Mac in your car. Then you're CHEATING.
I thought it was safe but the other day a package arrived and inside were an assortment of my friend Shevawn's amazing cookies .. 5 different 'types' all layered in a lovely tin and two small boxes of special cookies . a praline 'cup' and a chip cookie with I am not sure what all is in it but its YUM. I had to taste each cookie .. and then go back and make sure I rated them properly ... sigh .. and I was doing so well working the OTHER cookies off my gut/waist
Per yesterday...DUST?? A place to write when you can't find pen and paper..I have a notice on my studio door that says "You may touch the dust...Just don't write your name in it!!" Works every time..
Well, thats ok, its gonna happen. I say kudos to you. I am doing the Paul McKenna Diet and its going over fairly well. This however, is my second time at it!
Are we going to turn into sober bitches?
Sounds like you're doing great! I'll confess that I haven't finished my toffee yet. :) Want some?
I don't even bother with the diet thing until almost February - I can't imagine starting a diet with a January birthday!
I ate 100 chickpeas and then washed it back with a beer..ugh.
I have been very very bad. I went out with friends and have just come home and it's 1 in the morning. They goaded me into drinking. We went to a jazz club. I danced on stage. With a tambourine. That the band gave me. I am very tired now.
I thought of you and knew I had to confess. I promise I will drink nothing else this weekend.
Started another book. In bed. Milk and lots of oatmeal cookies. It was my supper...at 11:30. Sigh.
