Inaugaration day is always a big deal - not all that many countries on the planet have a peaceful exchange of power - but today's inaugaration...just...wow. Incredible.
I could not have said it better myself. I am so looking forward to what the future holds; so far, so good. My confidence is our new President grows a little each day!
I'm glued to the tube. It is a day in history. I didn't think I would get too excited about it, but yet I did. It is a great day to be able to watch the swearing in our 44th President.
Hear hear! My husband was a missionary kid and was born/raised in South Korea. He has an entirely different perspective about the way the world works and how lucky we are in our government system!
I've been watching it all on TV today & the excitement of what our future holds has me quite giddy. This is truly a day that I'll never forget.
George & Laura Bush are supposed to be here in our town today for his *farewell speech*, but I'm not going. I'm more into looking to the future now, not looking behind me to the past. This day is about beginnings, not endings...
Jeez - let me clarify. I did not mean Happy Birthday to a person named Eve, which that comma implies. I meant Happy Birthday on the Eve of your Birtday.
Glued to the TV all day... I can HONESTLY say I feel a "WARMTH" from the people attending....a HOPE exuding from each and every one of the spectators...and a BELIEF from fellow bloggers that this will make a difference in our lives!
One of the things that I am most thankful for in my life is being an American. We are free to elect our government. We are free to live our life as we want within the guide lines of the law. Thank you God that I am an American.
Supper lucky and blessed. I thought of you today. You stand out in my mind as being so excited on election day. You were bursting (from what I could tell over cyberspace).

You are correct, ma'am. Change without bloodshed. Praying this truly is a time in history where there's change, and that it's for the best.
Yes, it is an amazing thing isn't it?
I am so excited for the changes we are going through!
I will remember today forever.

May God bless our 44th President and keep him and his family safe.
Real hope is a wonderful thing. Anyone at the party?
Well said Mama!
Absolutely!
A BIG day for us all.
Let the world observe how true democracy reveals itself in the history of today.
This is an incredibly exciting day!

A peaceful exchange of anything in this day and age is a blessing.
I liked seeing the respect between the outgoing and the incoming...UNITED WE STAND in this SWEET LAND OF LIBRTY!
indeed!
Amen! It was wonderful ceremony, wasn't it?
xoxo,

Amen to that. It's a truly beautiful day.
Happy Birthday early btw!
And a beautifully peaceful post as well. I just stopped by somewhere that had to get that last jab in...not as fun as coming here.
Happy Birthday, Eve...!!!

Sigh.
ONe more time....on the Eve of your BIRTHday, not BIRT day.
Signed,
Brain Dead but wishing you a happy day before your birthday nevertheless!
Maybe things will be better. At least now I have hope.

Wow is right. One leader stands by while the other steps up to the podium and says, "no more."
