This-n-That Thursday

Wafting through my mind this week are a few things like these:
  • I just noticed that my vitamins are for people over 50.  But I'm going to keep taking them because my mother always told me I was advanced.
  • If everything has a purpose, then what purpose does dust have?
  • I saw Carrie Fisher on The Bonnie Hunt Show, and it made me feel so much better about myself.  Sorry Carrie.
  • I cannot get Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" out of my head-- It's the karaoke version where everyone screams "so good, so good, so good!"
  • When you play Bridge without wine, it is hard to remember all the cards.  True story.
  • Speaking of Vitamins, and that seems to be just about all I do, I have a serious crush on Vitamin D.
  • Do not ever eat a big spinach salad with red cabbage, fresh broccoli and black beans 30 minutes before an hour-long MRI.  Ever.  If you live, you will regret it.
  • If you take a picture of cheese, what does it say?
That's it.  I am off to do some cardio and chop some more vegetables.  Have a lovely day my friends.  Day 3 was a snap;)

I hope this diet works well for you - because nothing blows more than giving up good food AND wine for 10 days and your pants are still tight. I also hope it goes well for you because I'm supportive like that. You know, cheer on friends while I eat a brownie before I go to bed.

I'm still thinking about the purpose of DUST!

Dust and mosquitoes, and fleas and gnats? Why? That's one of the first things I'll ask...

You are making me laugh....seriously the things you are thinking about while your mind is free from libations....funny funny mama...I HOPE IT WORKS GREAT FOR YOU!

It's obvious that the wine deprivation is having a positive effect on your brain cells that affect humor, in spite of the fact that it may be impacting your ability to remember cards.

Dust does have a purpose. When combined with clutter it causes headaches--which gives the makers of Arthritis Strength Tylenol a reason to live--and if the dust and clutter build up high enough, they may cause rage and depression, which is very good for the pharmaceutical industry.

See?

Without dust, what would dust rags do?
I agree about Carrie Fisher. Boy, I felt real good after seeing her on the circuit.
What's with vitamin D anyway? I take it religiouly with my Centrim Siver.
Never was a fan of the Neil. But I would sway back and forth when I heard his songs.

I am SO SORRY that you have anything Neil Diamond stuck in your head. This going without is really getting to you, isn't it?

I saw a picture of Carrie online last week. My self esteem took a little jump too. Wow.

Way to go on your diet Mama! I'm rooting for you! FYI, I haven't had a beverage since I came back from the Northlands... 12/31/08. I don't know what that means since I'm not on the first wave of anything!

Dust is forever~it makes you sneeze and it can make you work your hiney off~which may go very well with this diet thingy!

I may dust tonight and call it exercise while sipping my diet coke w/lime ^-^

I think the cheese may say~ "Smile Stupid" !

Tell me more about your new crush. I've been hearing so much about Vitamin D lately. Must be the Big Man on Campus.

Carrie really destroyed my fantasies about how I would look if I were a household name with some $$$. Now what's my excuse?

The stairs are really not my friend today as my muscles are screaming at me, "No, don't go that way!!!"

I also saw Carrie Fisher sometime ago on The Today Show and on The View and you are right...I feel better about myself...

Keep it up girl...we can do this. I am crankier today than the previous days...I think my brain finally realized it is missing all those fats and chemicals it was use to...My brain is rebeling but I will fight.

I will not succumb.

Have a great day.

Congrats on getting done with three whole days! I had to laugh at the hour long MRI after the salad! Been in that kind of situation myself!

Dust's purpose is to get you moving - at least enough to wipe a cloth over the furniture. Also - without it, what would dust mites eat?

...You're a riot! lol... I must say that the side effects from wine deprivation are really workin' in your favor. Not that you weren't really sharp before. You know, I'm just sayin'... ;o)

...I think dust is a mature version of Etch A Sketch... I see a table top covered in dust as a blank canvas to which one can doodle to their heart's content and then with a swipe of the ol' dust rag, *poof* - gone... Mmmm hmmm, I've got more where that came from too...lol... ;o) You're gonna block me from commentin' here aren't ya? ;o)

...Happy Thursday! Hope today is a good day for ya too MPM! Blessings too...

Dust is God's blanket for furniture :o)
Cheering you on with the diet, I need to motivate myself to do this too.

Where would I find pics of Carrie, because my self esteem could use a little boost right about now...

The purpose of dust is to give those of us with anal attitudes something to do over and over and over and over since it never fucking goes away

I sense productivity. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?

COME BACK TO US! :)

Why is Mama having an MRI? Still looking for the pill, hon?

You're doing great! Keep it up!

That spinach salad sounded lethal! Enjoyed your post!

Oh. My. God.

I can imagine you in the MRI tunnel after that meal. Hilarious!

This weekend I am sticking with my plan which is no drinking in honor of Mental Pause Mama. If she can't drink, then neither will I.

Thanks for the chuckles! I have never contemplated what cheese would say, but I wish I had. . .
