Flurries

Meanwhile, in Central America, the Mental P Rugrats struggle to send me an email every once in a while.  They're so busy, don't you know?

And I will not be speaking about my diet today.  Nope. Not a word.

I'm telling you, this is simply all wrong.

There's no sense worrying about the diet this week, after all it's a Big One. The Inauguration tomorrow, and a Certain Someone's birthday on Wednesday, I believe?

Postpone the diet until next week, and enjoy yourself. It isn't possible to cope with all that snow and chidren frolicking in the tropics without some comfort.

Also, the birthday....you cannot deprive yourself.

Life ain't fair, Mama. Not for parents, anyway!
Perhaps they'll bring you a memento of their journey. Like a beautiful sea shell which, God willing, is vacant when they put it in the suitcase.

We had flurries last night and now the earth looks like it's been dusted with powdered sugar. It's really beautiful.

But maybe not so beautiful as where your rugrats are right now . . .

No white stuff down here yet, BUT our chances are getting better for later today and tomorrow.

I bet it is just beautiful where you are.

I would rather be in a snow covered Chalet then anywhere that has heat and humidity any day of the year...I will promise to find a therapist that deals with this issue in depth. :)

Love you...

I am SO behind on your world. Damn schoolwork anyway! Plus, my brain is still frozen from the weather events of last week here in lovely Minnesota, where the quality of life is so high. Yeah, you need to be HIGH to live here! BWA!

Costa Rica, huh? A single tear just slid down my cheek. That is so nice for Augie and Bird. *sob*

And that joke about the blonde and her husband here in Minnesota? She's not really blonde at all, that's just the snow covering HER frozen brain, which caused her to move her garaged car all over the snowy streets. Can you tell I'm a little bitter?

You cannot diet on a birthday week. It's some kind of law. Really.

Dear, dear, Lauren...you could occupy your time planning your strategy against the squirrel population!
And your birthday is coming up.....what are your big plans!

Doesnt matter .. diet be damned .. there's too much good to drink to this week

I bet those photos are really postcards and its raining down there ..

I don't want to talk about my weigh in today, either. Dispiriting.

Sorry you're blue and the weather is so cold. Fun plans for Wednesday?

You know, that's the hard thing about diets... the strictness, the rules. I think if you un-dieted for a day it's no big deal as long as you don't binge. Moderation is the key.

Have you short sheeted the kid's beds yet?

hey I liked asthma girls idea for the kid's beds. :)
DIET...LET IT GO....this week!
Birthday's only happen one day out of the YEAR...RIGHT?!
I say GO for that WINE! I would bring you a bottle if I could!

It's flurrying on and off here in NJ. And I must venture out. I would rather stay home and hang with the pup.

Don't shovel that snow. Wait for your children to get back, and hit them with a dose of reality!!!!

Skip a week of dieting; after all, you are the ONLY one who made it a whole week without cheating. You're probably ahead of us anyway!

The difference between weather in your part of the country and down here in Texas, the difference that has taken me years and years to get used to: the temperature swing from morning til late afternoon. When the sun comes out? Get ready for 30 degrees warmer. Cold mornings, warm afternoons. Turtlenecks in the morning are a hot and sweaty mistake by 4pm.

But just think... When they get home you'll get to enjoy the savory aromas of the tropics when you wash their dirty laundry, lol.

Snowing here right now... looks much nicer in the tropics. I say to hell with the diet. I myself feel a great need for Hershey's Kisses at this time of year. :)

Mary
Is it your birthday on Wednesday? Mine is the 25th.

Those pictures look so warm and toasty! I wish my mouse hand was there, it's freezing.

I like what asthmagirl said about diets, one day of messing up is no big deal!

So, your birthday coming up?

Those kids are just mean to be enjoying themselves while you freeze!

Darn inconsiderate kids. They better be bringing you something fantastic back. What is a diet anyway? My memory is fading fast.

Diet? What diet? I don't know anything about a diet, wink, wink. The pics are beautiful. I wish it would snow here in TN. I love the snow.

I don't even know what 'flurries' are. They sound like fun!
