Update: Cocktails at Town Hall

I made it most of the day back on my little clean living spree.  But I have a confession: Annie will be here in an hour to fetch me and cart me and my sorry big ol' behind to our Town Hall.  It is our Hospital Foundation Annual Meeting.  Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres aplenty.  We are very dedicated to our local Hospital Foundation, you can see us working tirelessly here, so we must put on our brave faces and attend tonight.  It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.

Just keeping it real.  Now move along.  Nothing else to see here.  Nope.  Nothing.

Oh, a dirty job indeed. You really should have this aired on Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe.

Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres aplenty? TORTURE!

Try not to work up a sweat there, lady. Sounds as if it will be a tiring task.

Nice excuse ... at least you have one.

If there's one thing I love even more than a person who gets right back on the diet train, it's a person who knows when it is far more appropriate to be social, and a good friend to Annie as the two of you go about your good works. YOU GO, GIRLS! When you have a cocktails/hors d'oeuvres aplenty situation, it is your DUTY to respond accordingly.

Carry on. AND report back.

Cause I'm jealous as hell. BWAHAHA!

Hors D'oeuvres...yum!

Every day I go into school, there are treats in my office. I am getting so damn sick of it that I could scream. I'm the one who has to work there but it's also the place where all the teachers come to collect their mail, make copies, etc. And there is always food.

Unfortunately, we don't have cocktails. I could use some of them.

Yes those cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be so hard to slug down. Oh I mean the work you are doing will be so hard this year.

Well, I've heard it's just fine to drop off the diet wagon, as long as it's only temporary. I think it just gives the dieter a break, making them more convicted about dieting after the falling off. Okay, that's my story & I'm sticking to it.

In addition to a bit of vino, I hope you were able to scarf down some *whore's ovaries* (you know... appetizers)...

Didn't you know? The calories it takes to volunteer for charitable causes supercedes any calories in the food you consume...so, you are all clear.

Hope you had a wonderful time!!!

That Annie has her priorities straight, as do you. Can you bring Annie to the blog fest?
