This-n-That Thursday

Hot off my two brain cells...
  • I think I spend an hour a week unsubscribing from email spam.  Where's the filter Kenneth?
  • Do you remember who infamously said, "What's the frequency, Kenneth?"
  • Speaking of unsubscribing, I cannot tolerate another newsletter update from Gwyneth Paltrow's blog GOOP.  It is, in one word, vapid. What was I thinking?
  • Speaking of vapid, I am missing Shauna Sand this week.  Wonder if she has bunions or something.
  • I am having a private contest with myself: How many pounds of groceries can I buy for $100 or less?  We are eating a lot of fluffy food.  You?
  • I have developed an unhealthy attraction to Keith Urban.  I consider this a problem.
  • How high do reading glasses go?  I'm starting to be a concerned 2.50.
  • You must go to Trader Joe's and get their White Bean and Basil Hummus.  Now.
  • I continue to read the UVa Admissions blog even though The Bird has already been accepted.  I can see this problem getting even worse.

Your two brain cells are extremely funny this Thursday. Fluffy food? BWAHAHAHAHA! That explains my weight "problem"--my food has not been fluffy enough? Love it! Which would explain why the White Bean and Basil hummus really stood out for me; love, love, love hummus. Usually roasted red pepper, but I'm going in search of the white bean and basil.

Just one more thing. Why Keith Urban? He seems like nothing but trouble to me. HA!

Ahahahaha! And you said that I'M thinking too much?! Pshaw!

So funny, in fact I think you this should be a meme...I plan on joing you today because I am also in one of those questionable moods.

No Trader Joe's "close" to me, but I will plead for a special trip.

To make you feel better, Senior Sorority Girl will soon become College Graduate Woman and I STILL check the admissions blog.

REM said What's the Frequency Kenneth often. I think Dan Rather had something to do with it too.

No coffee yet = no functioning brain cell yet. (Singular, cell.)

Fluffy food??

*The man who assaulted Dan Rather on the street a couple of decades ago kept asking him 'what's the frequency, Kenneth?' REM's reference followed.
* Re email spam: I have almost none, using Norton. Do you subscribe to something similar? I believe Kim Komando has some very effective programs, some without charge, on her site.
*Latah, yo. Bike beckons. Giving it the finger.

Somewhere back in my 30's, I think I LOST half of my ONE Brain cell!

I always like to count the # of sacks full of food for $100.00

AND HOW MANY MORE Victoria Secrets emails can they send me in "ONE WEEK"!

LUV Keith Urban!!!

Okay .. so NEVER EVER EVER EVER unsubscribe from spam ... you arent unsubscribing you are confirming they reached a gullible person and now they will share your email addy with others .. if you want to rid yourself of spam email, set up your Junk Mail to weed it out before it gets to your inbox .. I know you can do this ...while listening to Keith ...

What's a brain cell?

That would be R.E.M. :)

You crack me up. Your fluffy food comment reminded me of a magnet on my mother's frig. It reads: (picture of sheep above the words) "Ewe's not fat, Ewe's Fluffy!"

I haven't purchased any processed foods for a long time. It does save money.

As for Keith Urban, Honey - I watched 'Australia' the other night and now I'm having a HUGE Hugh Jackman crush. OMG! That man is fine. (So is KU). It's okay to have a man-crush, really it is. :) And, I may have to move to Australia.

Have a great Thursday.

Please get us posted about that grocery thing. That sounds fascinating.

It's a challenge to eat healthy, much less trying to do it without breaking the bank. Let us live vicariously through you!

MMMMM-mmmm Keith, but Kenny's my true love. Ha, I have one email that I use for online stuff so that all of my spam goes there. That way I never have to read it, just delete it. It seems when I unsubscribe to one, I get two more.

Yummm hummus!

I always love your Thursday post. Such a variety, which indicates the path your brain actually stays on all week.

I live off cereal and peanut butter. How much fluffier can it get. You'd think I'd be thin. Not.

I haven't heard of anyone you mentioned today. Sigh.

Yeah, I'd be worried about anything GOOP too - around here it means something to stick on something to fix something - ya' hope.

If you have TWO brain cells, I have 1.5.

"What's the frequency, Kenneth?" BEST. SONG. EVER. Not that I know if Michael Stipe actually came up with that?

I'm a spinach and artichoke hummus girl myself....BUT, that white bean and basil sounds divine:) Rosemary & Olive Oil Trisciuts go with everything;)

Trader Joe's has a white bean and basil hummus? I was just there and missed this :(

I've heard that unsubscribing from unsolicited spam gets you even more spam because then they know they have a valid email address and sell it to even more people.

Doesn't Augie eat $100 by himself?

I have to admit, I have a thing for Keith Urban too. He's just so damn cute. Now, I'm off to Trader Joe's!

I don't have a trader joes, but then I don't like hummus.

reading glasses go to 350 I think. I have progessives that have a thin sliver for me to read through, so I went and bought some reader..perfect and cheap

I made a white bean hummus yesterday. Trader joe's...if we had one, would that mean we would have more than ten cars on the road at a time?
