Springing Forward

Nina Ricci's newest.
Special?
I'm sticking with my New Balance running shoes.
What are your shoes today?
And if any of you Southern braggarts tell me flip flops...
Well, just try to do it nicely.

In honor of you, and JUST FOR YOU, I will NOT wear my flip flops today. My feet may sweat in my tennis shoes and I may be uncomfortable as hell in the 77 degree weather, but I'm willing to suffer the consequences for Mama!

I'd feel like a traitor doing otherwise :)

Well, honey child, I can't help it if I happen to live in the South and it happens to be warm and sunny. ;) I do declare I will be wearing my Clark sandals today!

Wow. That must be one wicked clubfoot in that shoe.

OKAY....It's VERY warm here and the orange blossoms smell de-lish and my feet will be all sweaty but I'll wear some tennies just for you...flip flops would be SOOOOOOOOOOO much more comfy...but I wouldn't want you to feel bad...and those nina shoes look like something out of Beetlejuice...some people and their idea of style...not me I go for comfort!!!! Which usually means barefoot or FLIP FLOPS!!!

I'll be wearing my golf shoes if that makes you feel any better. As hot as it has gotten here lately, I have a gnawing feeling Winter isn't through with us yet. I just don't trust our weather and Mother Nature has baited us before. And now, another early time change...

I am wearing tar heels today with the windows open, but I am not enjoying it at all...not at all...it sucks really, it does.

Barefoot. I'd say that other word, but you said not to, so barefoot. It's supposed to be near 80 today, and it's already just about there.

Ok, it's 9:30 CT and 71 degrees outside with a wind factor of 10. Just for you...and just for today, I will forego my flip flops and wear my NB. Because I'm going to a track meet, and the New Balance work better for me when I'm determined to make you happy. besides, it's lent, and I have to do something nice everyday. Does this count?

I live to please you. I will be wearing the same Merrell winter mocs that I wear 98% of the Minnesota winter days. Because if I even thought of wearing flip flops, my poor little tootsies would be in worse shape than the ones in those clodhoppers in the pictures! BWAHAHAHAHA...

I'll be sporting my Keens today. We might get some snow tonight. AARGG! No flip flops for me.

is it just the angle, or does the heel not touch the ground on those hideous things?

Im barefoot still...

It's a mere 45 degrees here. Which means I'm in my Keen clogs. We're a ways out from sandals!

And those shoes... they're butt ugly. seriously...

Flip flops, but I'm in Canada, so I don't qualify for whatever you were going to do. :)

Warming up here...but have yet to break out the flip flops!

Speaking of! DOES ANYONE remember when flip flops used to be called THONGS? Way back when and before "thong underwear" came to be in existance??

Or is this just another illusion of my growing up years!

Does a dancing pole come with those shoes? Hideous, simply hideous. And for the record, I'm wearing clogs, with socks.

Mudd sneakers without socks. Kinda sweaty, I gotta be honest. And not all that attractive.
What the he** is up with those shoes. Do you walk in them or just get your picture taken?

Tonjia said...

That is one ugly shoe! Today I'm wearing crocs (without socks!!) and inside, as always, barefoot. I hate wearing shoes and socks not matter what the season.

The Mind of a Mom said...

Oh they just scare me! I am so not showing those to my 14 yr old daughter!

Merrill clogs, every day no matter what the activity. Cleaning, shopping, weddings, funerals there's a clog to wear. I will wear sandles in the summer but they are usually Merrills too

I wore my New Balance shoes all day today working my butt off clearing out trees and brush. Nearly killed me. No flip flops for me....not today anyways. Next week, another cold front coming through. This is sooo hard on the flowers and trees.

Those are truly frightening.

I wore no socks today. That was nice.

oh why don't they just put some shoelaces on a pair of meat hooks?

I wore sandals in the land of perpetual sunshine!

Egghead said...

Well I'm not southern and it has been a bit cold and rainy here but my choice of shoes as always is none. I usually am barefoot when at home....sometimes I put on socks. Hillbilly I am.

My chaussures du jour of the day are black fluffy "Queen Bee" slippers.

If you go here: http://projectrungay.blogspot.com/index.html you can see actual models walking in them. Their legs look like the front legs of horses as they walk.

I've had my trusty Dansko clogs on all day with my soft white socks. No flip flops for me yet.

I am not ashamed to admit that I am actually wearing a pair of the shoes you profile - they are the only thing that gives my cloven hooves the support they so desperately need. ;)

OK, OK. Silver Coach sneakers with extra thick socks - I do believe the next Ice Age is on its way.
