Forward thinking

Because my nest will be empty in a few months,
I have become accustomed to thinking about the future.
I am already thinking about my Mother's Day Wish List.
I need some advice....
Should I ask for potting soil or liposuction?
What's on your wish list?

I am wishing for a serger to add to my machine collection...some white, pink, and lemon yellow milk paint for my design studio...and some more fabric is always nice.

Potting soil is good, one can never have too many flowers...but then again liposuction would be nice and from pictures I've seen of you...not sure that you need that one...

Mother's Day I get to get a phone call from my son on a mission...so I am looking forward to that for sure...

I'm going to need my "cush" for my grandson. So I'm wishing for some new hiking boots.

Potting soil - there's nothing like getting your hands dirty and you can always sling mud at the young'ens.

As for me, I just got called that a pendant that my jeweler was making for me is ready - can't wait to see it! Especially since I'm not a big jewelry person and this is something I really wanted.

Hmmmm!
Potting soil vs. Liposuction?

Aww...JUST GO FOR IT!!
ASK for BOTH!! :)

The liposuction will make you feel better while potting those new plants!

And I KNOW WE ALL NEED the liposuction at one point in our lives!!! ;D

Hmmm...what's on my wish list? My Philosophy Hope in a Jar, Cleanser and maybe a little botox....

Wine. I'm guessing potting soil would involve this yard work stuff I keep hearing about?

My Mother's Day wish list is books, books, and time to read them.

Neither. You should ask for a vacation away with your little darlings in celebration of your last few months together. I'm thinking a cruise to the Caribbean is a nice place to start.

If that's too much, then wine. Lots of wine.

I am thinking that since you have 1 Bird and 1 Augie, you should have 1 potting soil and 1 liposuction. Makes sense to me.

For Mother's Day, I want brunch out with my kids and as many grandkids as can make it. And anything in gift bags that they feel I should have. :)

Potting soil to grow something new!

I always plant my garden on Mother's Day. It's the only time I can get help!

I'd want the potting soil and lots of herbs, bedding plants and hanging baskets to go with it!

When my kids were little I always asked for a few hours to myself, I'd stay in bed getting caught up on a foot high pile of magazines I never had time to read. Now I don't get magazines anymore and my kids are older, so I don't feel the need to get away from them (as much).

Far from empty nest, my wish list usually involves a day of hiking, packing a picnic, getting some sunshine, spending a day in nature. If my kids come along? No complaining!

Boring, I know.

In short, it kinda falls along the lines of potting soil.

Are you kidding? Is that a real question?

Potting soil and a big box of kleenex for the middle of August.

I would just like a day without turmoil and brunch cooked by someone else!

Lipo would require pain and recovery and you probably don't need it anyway.

As for more wine! :)

Trust me. You'll get the hang of the empty nest thing pretty quick and while it is great when they visit - you won't - I repeat - WON'T miss the laundry.

Potting soil...with the promise of sprouting flowers and new life for spring!

You have a gorgeous yard..no soil.

You look 35 and are working out. No lipo...well unless you'd feel better. I'd like it and a facelift.

I agree...a cruise. With the kidlets.

If I can't have a facelift, I'll just take lunch with the kid :)

Can't wait till the ducks are back home! Your ducks.

The potting soil...

Enjoy your garden!

Frankly, the green bikini looks like she fell out of the pot.

Now back to your question. The pot. It's like the thing about purses - they always fit.

Well definitely NOT the lipo. That would mean surgery and recovery and you won't want to blog or do anything and I'd miss you terribly and start crying and I get all red and puffy when I cry and then I'd have to blame it on you and probably go postal and take out all my angst on my children.

So for my children's sake, do the potting soil.

I think this is especially tough for you because they are both leaving at the same time. You need more than just potting soil and liposuction. I think you need a special getaway trip with Squazz. Did I spell that right?

I'll take a body replacement instead of lipo. There is a chick at the gym that I would love to just make a trade with her.

potting soil absolutely!

Potting soil! Always need potting soil. Liposuction, no, I don't think so. Isn't it funny to think of it this way: We get proper potting soil so our flowers will get bigger. We get liposuction to get smaller...
