In Like a Lion

March never disappoints.
We have over a foot of the white stuff.
And 4 more inches on the way.
We are having a snow day and then some.
I want to play in my garden.
But today, I will supervise the shoveling.
I will supervise all things food.
Ribs, cornbread, wine, corn chowder, wine, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
Wine.
And just sit around and wish.
For this.
And when I get to the Virginia Blogfest in July?
I am going to smack Marlene for wishing for all this snow.
I swear.

You make me laugh. Poor Marlene, I think she'll suffer the wrath of many of us. Perhaps a water balloon flogging will be in order.

We'll make Marlene go down the slip-n-slides while wearing a crab hat. You didn't hear about the slip-n-slides? A group of bloggers + wine + slip-n-slides = black mail pictures + great blog fodder.

We actually got some snow too, but I am thankful to see it. Thank you, Marlene!

I prayed for it to come HERE...not to all of ya'll and miss me.

I just like to share, that's all!!!

MPM, it is really beautiful! A great last hurrah for winter, right?

I think I'll assign myself the task of photographing the slip and slide event!

Sorry about your snow but I like your plan for dealing with it!

We're getting a lot of it, too and it's begun to blow like mad. I don't even think I could get out our 1/3 mile long driveway at this point. I can hardly see it. Is it bad to still have my pajamas on? And be contemplating imbibing? Perhaps I should be cleaning.

How boring.

MPM - Unless I'm having brain surgery this summer, I'll see you at the blogfest!!!

It will be warmer, I swear...D

I think we find the snow so fascinating here because it's so rare and also, it means a holiday! Everything closes when there is snow on the ground. :-) If one actually had to get to work and school in the snow? No way!

I made the mistake of letting my spouse post a "signs of Spring" entry on our blog. He had a second one ready to post today. Serves him right that he has eight inches of snow to remove from the parking lots and drives. And I am not helping. (In a macho delusion he does a ten car and a four parking areas by hand. He refuses to hire a plow guy.)

Back to eating bon bons and blowing my nose.

Snow days are great days to bake and cook. Ribs? YUMMMM

That's a lot of snow. We only had a couple of inches in southern TN (and it will probably be our last until next winter. I'm OK with that :)

Ohhhh I remember these lovely photos. No ducks? Sigh.

No tires? Sigh.

Hope you had a good snow day. Oh, you have a lot of those! LOL

Lovely shots - though I'm so sick of winter now. Bring on those summer scenes.
