I don't blame you for wanting that puppy! How cute is that???
I understand the empty nest thing...I know in a few years when Pitcher moves somewhere out of state I will have a zoo. I guess I could follow him around the country...but sheesh! Stalking your own kid? Nah...I will stick with the zoo!
BTW: the puppy looks like some mixed breed ~ absolutely ADORABLE!!!
It looks like its part Yorkie ... maybe a Yorkie mixed with a shitzu (I know I misspelled it but I dont know how to spell it and I am too lazy to spell check).. it is cute but little dogs tend to be high strung and puppies teeth on shoes .. wouldnt a nice rescue pup do the trick?
I think you should get a peka-poo or a peka-something...or maybe a Border Collie like George...or maybe I should just move up there now and you can adopt me. We will discuss it in a few weeks, okay? I will be a good kid to have.
Bri-brute had a peek-a-poo puppy that looked just like that one. I was so in love with that dog... Bella, sigh. When she was excited she did this little snorting thing, sigh. Best of all she was still puppy cute when she was older, sigh.
Get two. I never thought I'd like small dogs, but then JJ came into my life and well, you know the rest of the story. Small dogs typically live longer too.
Oh that puppy is so adorable and would do your heart a world of good. I think you should look into getting one too. You have plenty of love, time and desire for a wonderful new addition to your world. GO FOR IT!
I'm thinking shitzu and maybe a tiny little Yorkie type. If he has an overbit, definelty shitzu. little dogs tend to yap a lot. my friend has a yorkie, named Leo. he is such a mamma's boy. follows her everywhere and yaps. he is adorable and cuddley. no rough and tumble kind of dog, though.
go to the shelter first. really..you could change the life of a little living creature forever.
What a CUTIE!!! I have 2 Llasa Apso's and this is what they looked like when they were babies (Shitzu's also have this look)....Dory, the youngest, still looks like an Ewok when I let her hair grow. Believe me, these little guys are great at "filling the gap" of missing the kids!
Think of the work and money, house breaking, what to do with him/her when going on a trip, vet bills, dog food/treats, grooming bills, etc.
After a few months, the 'empty nest' will be fine. I don't mind it at all, and especially after they all go home after the holidays, and I have to clean and do laundry out the 'wazoo'!
no you dont. I think its a shitzu. And the shit part is in its name for a reason. My old roomates had one, and he was as cute as he could be. But he stunk to the heavens unless he had a bath every two days...was impossible to train, and chewed up everything. that dog ruined me for pets forever.
Adorable! It looks like a Shih Tzu, or Llasa Apso(sp?) I don't have any idea what I am going to do when mine are gone. Maybe the crazy, annoying, wonderful, sweet puggle that CG HAD to have will keep me company.
You need the puppy I saw at the cabinet maker's shop today. He had some basset hound in him - his ears could not have been more than a half inch off the ground!! He was adorable!!

What are you going to name it?

Oh my, what an adorable face, but all I hear/see is incessant yipping and a tripping hazard.
But pay no mind to the pessimist behind the curtain.
Perhaps this is just a sign that you need to visit your local shelter and peruse the possibilities.
How very very cute! I want a puppy too but I need another sheltie!

It's a dog. We won't tell Dora though. You really are having it bad.

You definitely need one of those!
Awwwwwwwwwwwww
Reign yourself in, girlfriend! Reigh it in!
Let me send the Brute Squad to you. Although joyous, 24 hours with them should curb the desire to have really cute dogs and lots of them!
No clue...I am helpless with dog breeds. It sure is cute, though!

Puppies fix everything. Even a potential chardonnay allergy.

A Shorki? (shiztu/yorkie mix).
Too cute!
I want him! He is so cute, but....

Looks super-cute!! Li'l puffball. And I bet he doesn't create the giant, soccer-ball sized tumbleweeds that my golden retriever does.
I can send Little T up for the summer...better yet stop by on the way home from Cville to get him.
Not sure, but he's cute.
Go look in the mirror and repeat "No impulse pet purchases! No impulse pet purchases! No impulse pet purchases!"
Take a vacation.
well for sure it is a puppy. I've been drinking the same water and I am just as sick. I want a dog.
That is a face I could kiss.
Absolutely Adorable!

He's the cutest puppy I've ever seen.
that little puppy is so adorable...I am sorry you have tremors...he would definately fix that.

It almost looks like Michelle's (Burgh Baby) Havanese as a puppy. Her dog is ADORABLE.

Until he pees in your slippers. :) It IS adorable.. my cats have coughed up fur balls that are bigger.
Oh my gosh. SO cute. You must obtain one. It will give you endless blogging material! Report back ASAP!
Are you insane? Empty nest means Momma can fly out without being accountable to anyone (ie, England). It is a pretty cute little face though...
He's so cuteeee!
Looks like a shitz zuh (sp) to me.
Looks just like a baby Shi Tzu. Looks like our little Babycakes did when we got her.
