I love how you captured the whole ritual. I basically do the same thing when I take a bath, I just don't have pictures.

Amen! Although the dog I dog-sat last week didn't seem to think so. But! No way her stinky self was spending another day inside MY house. Whew-wee!

Excellent pics! How did you get close enough? I just love watching our red cardinals flitting in the bird bath. But I've never gotten close enough to capture it.
