Just have some more of that sweet tea and you won't be so hot. Or not. :-)
VA is beautiful, but I'm sure it is hot and humid! Drink more sweet tea!
Thomas Jefferson is very crushworthy!
I really don't like being hot either, or sweating. Drink lots of iced tea!
Ummm...excuse me Miss, but get your friggin' hands OFF my man. The tall, hawt, red headed dude is mine....and well, Sally Hemmings' as well, but we won't go there.
Glad you are love the jewel of VA.
If you thought yesterday was hot, Lord help you today.
Glad you are having a good time.
Sweating and studying is hard. With you aversion of heat, the Pacific Northwest is for you.
Oh dear. Good thing you're making this trip to Virginia in advance of Blog fest -it will help ease you into the heat and humidity. Keep in mind the mountains are always cooler, so if it's hot there, then here it's.....well, I don't want to scare you away.
Enjoy C'Ville! It's a great town. If you can get out to Monticello please go, you will not be disappointed. Also, the Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway is gorgeous. There's a lovely hike at HumpBack Rock on the BRParkway that is not to be missed, especially on a clear day.
I love Charlottesville. It is such a vibrant town!
MMMMMMM love me some sweet tea. Especially when it's so freakin' hot. Enjoy.
I feel ya, it's hot here too. Hit 100 degrees yesterday!
I'm glad to see that you are focusing on all the positive things. What a great place to go to school.
Tea is always better in the South.
I think it's hot everywhere.
How is Baby Bird doing? Drinking the whole experience in like a little sponge? Ahhhh...
come on down to ga, you will find the meaning of sweat LOL... its too hot to even sit out side in the shade... uggggggg have a safe fun trip
Seriously? Paved in orange and blue? Gotta love a college town.
It is hot and hot and hot and hot. Sick of it already.
Stay cool. Drink up more of that tea.
Hope you survive the heat. It's got to be good to see where Baby Bird will be hanging out, right?
Hotter n hell is what we say! Yep welcome to summertime in Virginia! Where we love our sweet tea and sweet Virginia breezes! See ya at blogfest unless you stop by on the way home. Oh wait dont go home till after blogfest!
I love your "Deep Thursday Thoughts by Mama"...they make me smile! Just go sit by the pool and drink some sweet tea...and I agree Thomas is or rather was pretty hot!Oh wait you were talking about the weather being hot...not fun! I agree that it's TOO HOT and sweating is NO FUN...and you wouldn't catch me studying in this heat...the brain is fried!!!!!
Sweet tea cures everything...even heat stroke;)
Ugh...it's hot here too. It's sad when you step out the front door and immediately start sweating. What I wouldn't give for some rain right now!!
No, no. Don't drink too much sweet tea. It makes you sweat! Ha!
Did you do the tour at Monticello? He designed so much of it. Very interesting place up there. Yes! It's definitely a college town and it's so much fun.
No AC in the dorms. Have you found that out yet? My son's roommate had a fan from the Sharper Image company. It was a tall post-looking device that actually blew out cooled air.
It's hot? It's not gonna be hot in July is it?
Love me some thomas jefferson!
Hot? In the south? Shocked!
Reading your post leaves me feeling as though...I believe I will have another martini...
I feel your heat.
Yes, you can go to school full time because you are not too old. I have confidence in you.
It's such a beautiful campus. It may be hot, but I assume that at least it's not raining...
Have some more sweet tea!
You're not too old to go to school full time, but it's only because you have more to do than the average college student.
Your daughter is gorgeous. It is beyond hot it is sweltering stinkin sweat running everywhere hellacious hot.
The only thing a bit tricky about having a crush on T.J is he is dead, that could be a minor complication.
He liked his wimens too.
Did you say something about tea?
Hi Lauren!
It's hard for me to believe that just a short five years ago I was exactly where you are now. Where did the time go?! It IS hot there in the summer but the town is adorable and the campus is beautiful. I still dream of having a little house in the hills above C'ville, ambling around the downtown mall hunting for treasures, having coffee under one of the huge old trees....
Bird will love it there and get a great education to boot. Have fun!
Thomas Jefferson's hot. Combined with it being hot, sounds like you're in a good place. :)
Yep- Welcome to summertime in the beautiful VA :) It's hot! Sweet tea cures all though :)
Enjoy C-ville :)
if you have an iPod, you should check out the podcast, The Thomas Jefferson Hour. It's a really cool podcost that's about an hour long and talks all about Jeffersons life and what they think his view would be on diffent subjects regarding modern times. Very intresting.
