The National Moment of Remembrance encourages all Americans to take a break from their festivities on Memorial Day at 3 pm, and for sixty seconds observe a moment of silence, honoring all service men and women who have died for our freedom.
Before dusting off the grill or the inaugural belly flop into the public pool, remember. This Memorial Day, pause to honor our fallen heroes, thanking God for their sacrifice and for allowing us to live in the greatest nation on earth.

A fine reminder MPM.
And may the day soon come when we no longer use war, wherein our sons and grandsons die, to settle our differences.
Amen, my friend.
We did this ...
Amen to that! I don't know where the phrase "Happy Memorial Day" came from, but it's not quite right.
Thank you for that. Yesterday driving home, we saw so many small towns dotted with flags, and flags flying at half mast.
I remember when we hit 1,000 killed. Now look at the count. So sad.
I did! Proudly!
