Head Scratching

Have you ever felt like there was something big about a date, but you have no idea what it is?  Well I have that feeling today.
What on earth could it be?
 Where did my mind go?

Could it be your SON meeting?

Hm, I'm like that a lot. Feeling like I'm forgetting something, but not a clue what it could be.

Uh, oh. I can relate, however . . .

My problem is that I never get that feeling. I should.

Well, in 1958 the novel Lolita was published on this date...

I do this all the time.

"Why did I come in this room? I know it was to get something or do something." (ponder it, say "crap", leave, have a glass of wine and come back later if I remember).

I make lots of lists these days.

Good grief - I can't even remember what it is I am forgetting most of the time. What am I doing here?

Yep...I am just like that ALWAYS...I have been known to walk down the hall with soap to put away and forget why I'm down the hall but see the soap so I jump in the shower...I'm thinking I'm on the edge of crazy quite often...scary...hopefully you will remember before it is too late mama.

yes, as a matter of fact-- today. I have done it all day and as the day comes to a close, I am beginning to panic because I still don't know what it is I've forgotten to show up for.

Well now I forgot what I was going to say.

That feeling is the worst - like a little itch that you can't get to. Do let us know when you remember.

As soon as you lay your head on your pillow tonight, it will come to you. Maybe try to fake out your brain and do that now, my brain would totally fall for it. You seem a bit smarter than me though.

You'll think of it tomorrow, when it's too late.

I do that all the time. Then I will make another appointment on the same day I have something else. Even that sentence was confusing.

Did you figure it out yet???
Maybe you forgot to take your ginko-biloba so you wouldn't forget what you forgot???
Ohhh...too much to think about!

Ok, it's not your birthday right?
Not your anniversary right?
Not your kids birthday right?
Not your court date right?
You are dressed and not needing to meet someone right?

Well then it can't be THAT important. Wait, what were we talking about? Never mind.

The vast majority of every second of my life is spent in a state of confusion, memory loss and forgetfulness.

I really don't want to know what my "senior years" are going to be like, because if this gets progressively worse with age, I'll be a babbling, incoherent idiot.

Wait a second....

It's not your birthday or anything, is it?

I'm so sorry you never remembered what it was. Things like that can make you feel crazy!

Oh, I do that all the time--sometimes even hourly, rather than daily! I think maybe your mind and my mind took off together and are having a great party somewhere! I sure hope they're having fun...

I forgot all about being gone for five days...does that help?
