This-n-That Thursday

Got the Boob Tube on my mind...
  • Laura Bush's memoir has been out for one day, and I've seen so much of it that I feel like I already read it.
  • And that nutjob Rielle Hunter is on Oprah today? No, thank you.
  • I love that Dawn commercial where they are washing the oilslick animals.
  • Those aerial shots of that oilslick heading for Louisiana are making me sick.
  • Joan Rivers has a show on TVLand called "How'd You Get So Rich?" I am oddly intrigued by it.
  • Speaking of commercials...the latest Pedigree one with all the shelter dogs? Makes me cry every time.
  • I've seen more of Britain's PM Gordon Brown in the last 24 hours than I want. Forgetting about open mics is never a good thing. Never.
  • I think I'll just go back to watching owlets.
Please tell me I am not the only one with such deep thoughts as these....

Think I'll watch my birdies too. What's up with Oprah? Last week a child molester telling "his side" and now that ditz. Who really cares?

I only buy Dawn just because it's the only detergent that can clean oil-slick birds. I hope N'Awlins won't be needing a truck-load or two.

I have taken to watching sports...in the moment and enjoyed by all in my family.

Oh gah. Makes me glad I don't watch TV. But I think I'll go read up on some of this and see what I'm missing.

You are not alone. However, I choose not to watch the news which Mr. Snoots thinks is insane. That way, I can live in my own little *fantasy bubble* world. I think I'll just sit on my patio & watch the birds too...

I will be watching The International Tattoo Parade this evening which one would surmise to be a bunch of barely clad people showing off their ink, but it's a parade of military units from around the world. I think that is much more interesting...or the owlets...either or.

Those Pedigree commercials get to me so badly, too. I want to adopt all the little puppies.

I've had it too with all of your same things...

I'm watching the birds and the neighbors and thinking of pressure washing deck cushions. Thinking....

I want to see the BLAZE from the oil slick :)

Deep Thoughts:
-It is no fun trying to locate high heels that will fit a man.
-It is fun purchasing purple nail polish, purple body glitter and a grass skirt as part of the man's outfit.
-It's even more fun to watch grown men dress up as women for a fund raiser.
-Are you sure you can't make a road trip?

p.s. For all the reasons above and more, including job, kids, sports schedules, house upkeep, etc. I never have time to watch TV and the only news I will watch is none of it - get it all from the radio, short and sweet.

When I saw the oil slick on the news this morning I wanted to cry. I am so sad for our Earth.

Oprah just gags me lately. If she were a blogger I might be inclined to say she was desperate for clicks...maybe having that much money really starts to warp your brain.

Oh and thanks for linking to the owlets on Facebook a while back...from both Gaby and I. She LOVES it!

Oh, the oil slick. Words don't begin to describe it.

I think you need to take a short trip to VA this weekend.

I just keep wondering what Laura Bush ever saw in W... and that oil slick makes me so sad...

I agree with your list but am so oddly concerned about CBW comment that I lost track of what I was going to say.

I'm just gonna watch my new hummingbird mamma sit on her nest.

and it is why I always purchase Dawn because $1 of the sale goes towards helping those animals...Lord knows they'll need it when the oil slick hits shore in the Gulf.
