This-n-That Thursday

Let's just get right down to business.  Shall we?
  • Do you think insects get stiff knees?  Don't ants lift something like 5 times their weight?  Wouldn't that make their knees hurt?
  • My baby Augie is coming home from a school retreat this afternoon.  I cannot wait to see him.  Wonder how much time he'll allot me before his social plans kick in?
  • My Baby Bird is going to Virginia by herself on Friday.  I am proud and nervous.  I think I'd better get used to that feeling.  Right?
  • Do ants have knees?
  • I am having an acupuncture treatment today.  For everything.  Especially my knees.  I hope she has enough needles.
  • Is it possible to eat too much spinach in one day?  I think I may have an answer to that question.
  • That Dooce woman?  She's having a baby in a few months?  Why does she keep complaining about feeling her baby move? She has no idea how lucky she is.
  • I am looking forward to our NYC dinner on Monday when Big Hair Envy and family come to visit!  Daryl, Annie and my Bird are going to be the entertainment;)
  • My favorite Easter Candy is jelly beans.
  • I love Andy Griffith reruns and Two and a Half Men.  Would someone please analyze this for me.
  • Is there a way to sharpen tweezers?
Have a wonderful day, my friends.  And please take care of your knees.

mmmm the Andy Griffith and Two and a Half Men question... you have a thingn for nastalgia and good looking guy? You wish for a more siimple time, but w/ sex?

I don't know about the spinach, personally, but ask me if you can eat too much granola in one day- you can...

Are you going to post your sixth folder sixth pic?

Good luck w/ your appt. I bet she can answer a question or two about keeping things sharpened...

AND Ugh! I looked at the Dooce page.

Be careful with that spinach! I love spinach, but too much can cause problems. my knees are crumbling from beneath my thighs. I want new ones, but my doctor said the ones I have are just fine. I think I need a new doctor.

do your knees hurt from those shoes you were wearing yesterday, or eating too much spinach. I need to know...

2.5 men? Huh... never watched it. I can get behind Andy Griffith though! Let me know how the acupuncture goes. I think it would be fascinating!

I haven't read Dooce in ages. I didn't know she was expecting. Would you do it again?

I totally LOVE jelly beans! Let's go pile some spinach on some ants and eat some jelly beans. Mmm.

Aunt Bee is my personal hero. I want to make pies like her.

Maybe it's because you have a thing for jails, bad boys, and good versus evil?

Oh wait, I forgot...I am still not talking to you...but I love ya.

Andy Griffith, Barney and Opie are two and a half men. Two and a Half Men the show should really be called Two and a Half Pigs. The two sets of men are at opposite ends of the spectrum, however both are very entertaining.

I think this means you're a really sweet person who has a devilish side, and maybe that devilish side needs to come out more often. Perhaps when you're kicking up your heels at blog fest in those red cowboy boots?

After reading this list, I have come to the conclusion that deep psychoanalysis is in order. So get in line for some, right behind me.

Two and a half men is, without a doubt, one of the funniest shows on TV in a long time.

Spinach is not good if you are prone to some types of kidney stones. Just ask my husband who's had 8 of them.

I don't get Dooce. I've read her blog several times and I just can't embrace her outlook on life - negative, unhappy, I can't figure it out.

Did you buy your snuggie yet, or have you taken my advice and just turned your robe around?

mmm, lots of questions to ponder, i think ants probably have arthritis from a very early age!!!! do they have treatment, this is the question, maybe massage, an anty doctor????

If you think more deeply than you need to about Two and Half Men and Andy Griffith, Two and Half Men is a very modern day version of Andy....VERY modern day. Love both shows! Guess we are similarly in need of psychoanalysis....I will get in line behind you.

Birdy's coming too? How fun! What train are we taking to the Big Apple?

Jelly beans are my favorites too. Wonder if that is what is wrong with my knees? And thighs, hips, waist.
You get the picture.
Dont worry about Baby Bird. She'll be fine. Everything moves slow in Virginia. Even when we talk.

And please dont let BHE act like a tourist while she's in the big city! Gawd I hate it when the county folk get laughed at!

I dont understand .. she blogs but the comments are closed? All the time? Narcissistic isnt she?

And if you bought Tweezerman Tweezers they will replace them if the tip gets dull .. honest

I love that you have the thought process about ants and their knees.

Reeses peanut butter eggs are my favorite Easter candy.

Andy Griffith: "Forget about the ratio, Opie!"
"It's kind of hard to forget about half a boy, Pa. Poor Horatio."

That's the episode I always think of when that show is mentioned.

I am not a fan of Two and a Half Men...don't know why?
Buy new tweezers
You cannot overdose on spinach, but Grama J says otherwise...I wonder why?
My knees are awful...it's the 40 lbs I found 4 years ago that won't go away
My beautiful niece is out in California studying Chinese medicine and acupuncture... You must tell me how it is...

I am glad I'm not the only one who does not "get" that Dooce-what's-'er-name person. I tried a couple of times, but just not for me...

Oh, knees. Oh, man. It really sucks to have genetically bad knees. Add in too much weight? OY!

Would spinach be considered roughage? If so, you most definitely can eat too much in one day. DOUBLE OY!

I always wanted to live in Mayberry, but I would gladly give up that thought if I could just be with you guys in NYC. It would be so fun to meet Dayl for lunch; I heart her and I also heart her cool desk lamp. Have fun! :)

Oh, forgot (mental pause, ya know!)...Tweezerman tweezers? The ONLY tweezers to have. Really!

My husband likes Andy Griffith too. I think it's the old-fashionedness of it all. And the good memories.
I enjoy two and a half men. I've said it before and am not afraid to admit it. They are funny. I don't think you need to be analyzed.
Good luck to Bird! I love it where she's going. And I told you before that I know places you can stay . . .

Yes, an emory board will sharpen your tweezers!

Ants have knees I think but I doubt they hurt. They are built different!

Safe trip to Bird.

Uh Oh...forgot the spinach. You should know by now if you ate too much. Teehee

ummmmm, I don't have an answer for the Andy Griffth/Two and a Half Men question, but I like both of those shows too. So, if anyone provides an answer - please share. This could solve a lot of my issues.

I too have bad knees. Trampoline accident (8th grade) destroyed the left one and my doctor keeps telling me to exercise more, but more exercise causes more pain so where's the fun in that!?

Do ants have knees? I think I need a glass of wine to think about that one some more.

Hope the Bird has a wonderful, safe trip!

Spinach thing - oh yeah! I love fresh spinach quickly stir fried in EVOO with some chopped bacon and onion. The family does not love that I love it.

I've not tried the needles thing for pain. Good luck!

As for Dooce, she writes for her readers. I don't believe she really believes most of what she writes about. Just something to say to get people to read it. I don't read her BLOG.....anymore.

I used to watch Howard Stern & Joyce Meyer...so I think I'm worse than you! Maybe you just love men!
I am so jealous of you all getting together and cannot wait to hear all about it!!!
I don't think ants have knees! But do they have ankles?? Mine are stiff all the time.

A bad knee is why I haven't been walking... Let me know how the acupunture goes!

What about the Bees' Knees? Do they have problems?

Spinach? I can't get enough of it...

CANNOT WAIT for Monday! I promise that I will do my best to NOT embarass NNG (and all of the other country folk) while I'm in the city. I'll probably have to keep my mouth completely shut. Oh, and not move. Should be fun!

Baby Bird will be fine in VA, we are kind of slow down here... which you will soon discover when you have dinner with BHE on Monday.

I could never do acupuncture, I'm too much of a wimp when it comes to needles.

I LOVE jelly beans, sux you can only get them at Easter... Jelly bellies are not the same thing!

Damn, I have thought the same thing about dooce. Girl, you read my mind (we are IVF'ers too after dealing with infertility for 8 long painful years).

Enjoy your visit with Augster. It will go by far too fast. But you know that. :)

Jelly beans rock. And why would you need sharp tweezers?

Is it time for This-n-That Thursday already? Where has the week gone? If anyone has a method for sharpening tweezers, I want to know about it. As for your Andy Griffith Show/Two and a Half Men syndrome, I share your addiction. Freud would be puzzled.

I have a weird ocd with my knees, I freak out if anyone touches them or talks about them (like surgeries and such) or now acupuncture...yikes. But I wonder about the ant thing too....things that make you go hmmmm!
