Hot Night in the City

We had a big time with Big Hair Envy last night!  A big, fun time.
The restaurant was a little hot.
I don't like to be hot.  At all.
If you don't believe me, check it out here.
BHE, Cool Breeze and beautiful daughter Snow White
are in New York to look at schools.
Snow White is an incredibly talented soprano.
I have a feeling she is going places....
Remember that you heard it here first.
I brought playdate pals for Snow White.
Augie and The Bird played nice.
I think.
Did I mention that it was hot in the restaurant?
At one point I looked over, and all three of them had their heads bowed down.
In reverence of the wonderful evening?
Nope.
They were texting.
At the table. Gah.
Carrying on despite the sweltering heat...
MPM (apparently dozing like a good old lady), Daryl (always beautiful),
Annie (always ready for fun) and BHE--who is just as adorable as you think she is!
And those glasses of chardonnay?
I don't know how they got there.
Saying farewell.
But not goodbye.
We'll all be together before you know it.
I just hope it's not too hot there.

Playdate pals. Like. Augie looks happy sitting beside his pretty playdate pal. She's gorgeous.

This whole shindig is gorgeous and I'm so happy you had such a great time, even through the sweat...

I guess my invitation got lost in the mail.

Looks like you all had a blast. So fun to meet blogging buddies. I second Nurse Nancy's motion.

Mama....my question is...what special thing do I need to say or do or be to make it on your sidebar of special friends? Not complaining...please know that...just wondering...just about the deepest thought I'll probably have ALL day!!!!

I am on the other end of the spectrum- I HATE being cold! Winter is very difficult for me.

Looks like you all had a great time- temperature difficulties or no!

I know exactly where you're coming from on the subject of HOT. NO GOOD! But, other than the hot...wow, how darn fun--I am so jealous. You, Daryl, Annie, chardonnay in fishbowl-sized glasses? Awww, darn, I wish I would have been there. I'm not familiar with Big Hair Envy, but she appears to be delightful as well. And the cute kids! In New York!

Heavy sigh...

Darling mama, you need a personal cooling system! Not only will you be cooler, but you will get preferential seating based on your apparent disability. http://www.coolest-gadgets.com/20061006/the-personal-cooling-system-30/

What a great evening! I'm glad you all got to break bread together.
When I get hot, I take off my shoes. It's the best way to cool a flash...and is why I am usually in sandals all of the time!

Aww...I love nights out with friends like that. Life is good, good and hot too it seems! Time to start rolling up a microfiber shirt and stuff it in your purse for evenings like those..then you can change outta your turtleneck and feel oh-so-much better!

I'm so glad to see/read all this because my curiosity had the best of me all day while my brain wasted away at work.

Regarding Virginia in July - what Living on the Spit said-- emphasis on Hot, Humid, Hazy, but that's why we drink a lot of wine around here.

Can't wait to see you all in person.

Awesome, just awesome. What a neat thing to meet your friends in such a wonderful place. fun, laughs, good food (?) and friends...doesn't get much better than that....except a cool breeze! That is really neat.

Oh Man! That looked like so much fun. We ate Saturday night in Austin at a restaurant that was freezing cold, but did I say one word? Oh contraire! I enjoyed my goosebumps thoroughly while everyone else whined about it. For once, a place after my own heart.
