Thirsty Thursday

Important chatter while I was working out wasting hanging out this morning:

Mental:  You know, I really wish you could muster up another one of your very special dates.  I need some stuff for my blog.

Cougar Lucia:  If I could, I would. Mkay?

Mental: whatever.

Lucia is a lovely old soul  and a dear friend.  Is anyone else experiencing this dearth of nice men out there?  What is up?  What. Is. Up? Even the husbands of Cocktail Corner are wearing thin these days...

There are totally some shirtless hot roofer guys outside my window right now. Have no idea what this has to do with anything...just thought you'd like to know ;)

I have no idea how I'm ever going to meet someone...you know, if I ever find ten minutes to even attempt a date again. Unless there's one hiding under the laundry. I'm going to go check.

The roofers here are not hot. Of course they're so bundled up it's hard to tell. And my glasses are smeary, but... um...

Yeah, it's confirmed. They're not hot.

And TOG is on my last nerve lately. I blame the weather.

Maybe that's the answer to all our woes. Just have the roof redone. Hmmmm. Wonder if I can "interview" them first?

I always assumed that cougars were women over a *certain* age and that age was not 35.

Bear: I don't think I know anyone who is 35! Beautiful Lucia is well past 35, but doesn't look it!

I count myself lucky every day. Which, er, probably isn't helping much. I'll keep thinking on it...

it must be that time of the month because my hubs is wearing on me too.

All husbands are on the same wavelength today. Mine finally left to go for a little ride! Yippee! I'm gonna go out and read under the shade...By. Myself.

Yesterday I could have killed the hubs, just on my last nerve! Today, he's not so bad.

Me and The Captain have been working opposite shift this week, so I haven't seen him much. I miss him. Even when he's getting on my last nerve.

Every man I look at when I DO manage to get out, seems to be too young or married. Men my age are looking for younger women. Do I have to go for a 70 year old man? I think not.....

I guess I'm with Sarah, unless they are hiding somewhere in the house, I'm very unlikely to see them.

In my time on this planet, I've reached the following conclusion: No, there are no good men.

There are some good-looking men.
Some good talkers.
Some good providers.
Some good Dads.
Some good at providing security.
Some good at providing excitement.
Some good at understanding when a woman just needs to vent and when she wants a solution to her problems.

But none who provide everything a woman needs.

Some are better than others, but with perhaps one exception (a man I know who is 90) there are no absolutely good ones.

That's why we rely so much on our wonderful women friends. They tend to fill in most of the intellectual and spiritual gaps.

Of which there tend to be many.

I love men. And hate them simultaneously.

Yeah, I think they're all pissy Father's Day is about to be over. Their moment in the sun about to be gone until next year. :)

I think that we just get too mature for them, and they just level off like when they are 30. They just don't mature gracefully. It's just a thought.

I think it's a summer thing. Too hot for them to be stirring. Or they're all hot and sweaty and stinky, turning everyone off.
