Getting all Halloweeny

Morning light at Schenck's Island.
I have been greeted by this sight every morning for weeks.
And every day, I think: "Build it, and they will come."
It is very peaceful here.
A beautiful way to start the day.
And then, Dora completes her business and we go back home.

Oooo! They're beautiful! Nothing prettier - and creepier - than a dew covered spider web. I'm always looking for the spider.

How cool are those photos....I hope it means we will get a horrendous amount of snow this Winter...wait, that's caterpillars, huh?

Just think about those industrious spiders weaving those amazing creations in the face of wind, precipitation, other creatures of all sorts. And they're beautiful! Thanks for the pics.

Hehehe... The pictures are beautiful, but I want to thank you for not showing close-ups of the spiders who built them. I get the creeps so easily!

Last week when I was cleaning all the webs & such off my hanging baskets in the kitchen, my housekeeper said, "But, they're perfect for Halloween!" Yeah, right. Maybe outside but not in my kitchen...

Aren't you glad Dora visits when the sun is shining so you're not walking through these? Gorgeous...

We have this giant web between our side porch and garage. Big spider, huge web. My girls knocked it down playing volleyball. Within a couple of hours it was all back together again. Amazingly fast are spiders.

The art of nature captured by an artist's eye (and camera) -- well done!

They're absolutely wonderful!

Meanwhile I can't help but comment that Schneck's island sounds like the place the lost Stooge built his summer home. Larry, Curly, Mo and Schneck all went for a walk one day...

Sorry, the webs are beautiful, but I loved the island's name too!

Spiders webs are a work of art and their silk is said to be stronger and more flexible than anything we humans can produce*!*

Very, very cool! I'm always amazed that spider webs look so fragile but they're really not. Congrats on POTW!
