This-n-That Thursday

Random things I ponder on the rare nights I cannot sleep every night from 1 to 3 am...
  • How long has it been since I read a Cosmo magazine?
  • When did I come to despise hazelnut coffee?
  • What kind of Halloween candy to buy this year.
  • I wonder how the trick or treating traffic is here at 'the complex.'
  • I wish cornbread didn't have any calories.
  • Why do I talk baby talk to the dog?
  • Why do people get belly button rings?
  • Does the ficus need repotting?
  • When can I get myself back to Virginia?
  • Should I buy brown or black boots?
  • Why do people just let their shopping carts run free in the parking lot?
  • Whatever happened to Mr. Sheffield from 'The Nanny'?
  • Is there anything like a 'starter' facelift?
How about you?

Morning is my pondering time and it's just as unique as yours LOL. If you find out about the starter kit, please share. I've always liked brown boots and I'm not buying candy. I sneak peak out the window. Maybe I should change it up this year. :)

Did you ever like hazelnut coffee?

I think you should come to Olde Towne for a visit and I will be your very own personal tour guide and Foodie Pal. Oh, the shoppes and the art galleries...and the history. Yes, you need to come to Virginia for a Lala Tour!!

I love Hazelnut Coffee, but then I love all coffee.

Black boots, something close to riding boots.

candy...personal favorites are: Chocolate and anything with caramel. Milk Duds come to mind.

I rocked that interview...have one more to get through, but I got past the initial HR one and now to meet the manager.

Have a great day...love you.

I loved Mr. Sheffield. Loved him on Days of Our Lives, too.

Buy both the boots.

And hazlenut coffee is just wrong.

Let me know when you want a companion on the VA trip.

Why bother with black or brown boots when you already have red boots.
Red goes with anything.

You are too pretty to worry about a facelift!

Black AND brown. Definitely. And possibly a cute pair of red cowboy....

I saw Charles Shaughnessy on something very recently. It was just flipping through channels and caught it but I have no idea what it was. He was using a (rather poor) American accent.

Starter facelift cracked me up... with laughter. My face is already cracked up. ;)

You think too much. No wonder you can't sleep.

I stopped reading Cosmo when I realized that there was nothing else I could learn from their articles!

Hazelnut candles? Yes
Hazelnut coffee? No

Black AND brown. If you don't, you'll wish you had...;)

I've lived in my home for nine years. The first few years, I bought candy like I used to in the subdivision. We didn't have the first trick-or-treater. Last year, in an attempt to rescue my thighs, I didn't buy ANY Halloween candy. Yep, you guessed it, THAT was the year those kids chose to show up:/

Screw the cornbread and get you and your red cowboy boots down here to Virginia for some homemade hush puppies, ASAP. Whenever you want. I have no life, I do nothing except work and drive to and from sporting practices and events, and then collapse into a wine glass on the weekends.

Back to your post, though, I strangely enough recently lost my love for hazelnut and cannot explain it either. I prefer French vanilla.

Buy all the boots. I have boot envy because my fat calves have never been able to squeeze into boots.

Skip the candy. We buy the Utz Halloween pretzel packs at BJs. Some years we get swamped, other years no body. Pretzels are relatively healthy snacks that side step allergies (except wheat) and we don't feel guilty eating the left overs.

LOL - adding:

I wonder how many generations will inherit my BIG big toe...

It really does look like a man in the moon...

Is that a UFO? Naw, just a star that looks like it's moving...

Peeeuuuwwww what are we feeding the dog to make her do that at 3:00 a.m.?

My sleepless time can fall anywhere from 1 to 3 and 1 to 5. You know, we could always FB chat!

Love reading your ponderings - they are just too funny. And so true.

Gawd, I do love your Thursday This-n-That posts!

I say buy a pair of boots in each color. You only live once, right?

I haven't read a Cosmo in years either, although it used to kind of be my Bible.

Actually, there is a kind of starter facelift. I had one just before leaving for Italy. Unfortunately, I need another one now, which hubby says no to. For now, anyway.

I only buy Halloween candy that I don't like. That way, I'm less tempted to eat it before distributing it, LOL!

I had a moment a year or two ago in the checkout line when I realized I was too old for Cosmo or Glamour. I read the inane article titles on the covers of those magazines and decided I was okay with that.

Buy a wide, sweeping variety of Halloween candy. Then you'll be good.

*Both* brown and black boots.
