This-n-That Thursday

Stuff:
  • Why did we have to learn how to use a slide rule? Have you ever used one in the real world?
  • Dora and I had a beautiful walk this morning. There is a hint of Fall in the air.
  • I love the change of seasons. I think it must be because of my short attention span.
  • I was really sad for college departures this year. But I have recovered.
  • I got an international driver's license yesterday. I feel so grown up.
  • I am so ready for football to start.
  • We have our jihad bridge group tonight. I feel lucky;)
  • Remember those fat pencils and crayons that were flat on one side? Do they still make those?
  • And that jar of paste that had the hole in the middle where the little brush would fit? I loved that. I may or may not have even snacked on it from time to time.
  • And what about logarithms? I can tell you that not only do I not know how to do them, I have never had to think about it since my SAT.
  • Speaking of SATs...shudder.
  • I am going on an adventure in one week. I cannot wait.
  • I am currently reading Italian Phrases for Dummies. It is awesome.
  • Does anyone know how I can lose 20 pounds in one week?

You don't need to lose 20 lbs, my friend! I love the change of seasons for the same reason. I can't wait to hear all about out international adventure. I hope the foreign world is ready for a force such as yourself!

I'm not entirely ready for the change of seasons. A little more summer would have been nice. But I am ready for football!
You and your phrase book are going to have so much fun in Italy!

I was grateful for the weather change because it makes for better sleeping, but then I read your bed bug post and see that Detroit is a more than gracious host for them. Now I won't be able to sleep again.

I cannot wait to see where your trip will take me vicariously. Are we going down the Amalfi Coast????

Fat, flat pencils are used by construction workers to mark measurements & make notes, sharpened with a pocket knife.

Tell me about this international drivers license!

My husband is counting the days until football season. Miss. State season opener at home is in a little more than a week.

I loved that paste, too.

Good luck in your card game tonight. You can lose 20 pounds by leaving your purse behind.

Yes, quit eating the paste and the pounds will no longer stick to you. ;)
