Tuesday Text: Parentexting™

Flight feathers are coming in fast:
Where did my baby boy go?
I had the nerve to ask when "we" needed to leave for school...
Complicated?
Seriously?
~~~
At least I still have this one:
But for how long....?
Who wants to bet I'm alone in the hotel?
I need to find a job/life/purpose. Stat.
Hmmmmph. I would feel the same way about your boy. I guess the past 20 years of raising him doesn't count? Your girl will always be your girl ;0)
I think you should take a 'round the world cruise. That'll take up 4 months! (My bro and sis-in-law's neighbor does that once a year - by himself - and always has a wonderful time.)
So nice to have that kind of time/money. (sigh - in my next life...)
Tracy's right - remember that old quote (well, at least my parody of it)
"As son is a son till he's off to school,
A daughter is a daughter even after you drool"
I am going through the same thing right now with my kids...one that pulls me in, and another that pushes me away...sigh.
I love Tuesdays...I always look forward to Tuesday Text. I know I'll be reading something that is so much from my own life!
You could always do what I do - volunteer with your local Red Cross....!! ;)
This is what no one tells you about when they're wee little ones who don't want you out of their sight.
It's the nature of the beasts, I mean kids. Our son & daughter are both still like that.
Now, my daughter won't let me come out to L.A. to help her move back to Texas. Wah! But, I should be happy about this, right?
I'll trade you any day (well, only with the ones that deserve to be traded)...seriously, you got it good.
I love Annie's version!
I don't know how you let them run off to other states. I like my college kids raiding the fridge, hogging the laundry room and sitting at the dinner table texting away about the test tomorrow!
At that age, who wants to be seen with their parents, right? LOL
I can't believe it's time for them to go back already...seems like they just got home.
And I vote for the round the world cruise thing too. If you need a cruise director, I'm happy to tag along.
I would love Annie's version IF I had a daughter. David has basically told me to get a life. He's living his.
If I had known? Yes, I would have done the same thing, but damn it hurts sometimes. Baby bird will be there for you.
It was a quick summer...
Actually I think you need a vacation....you have done a good job, and now you are not needed as badly as before...GREAT job! mom.....smiles.
Boys will be boys! But when they need their momma, they come running home fast. I know this from experience with my 29 year old!
Turn around and they're two, turn around and they're four . . . oh, this is too much!
