Patience is a Virtue

And, "If you build it, they will come..."
I have had this feeder for 4 years.
This is the first hummingbird I have ever seen use it.
Stay tuned for more hummingbird-themed posts...
The owlets have fledged and there are no current puppycams.
I really need a job.

I bought a beautiful hummingbird feeder before moving to Italy that looked like Murano glass. But once here I found out there are no hummingbirds in Italy! Who knew?
Yours is lovely.

Wow, that's a beautiful feeder! Congrats on your first hummingbird -- and I hope you see many more. Beautiful images, too. :)

If I were a hummingbird, I'd pick your feeder over all the others. It's so pretty and elegant.

Here's a hummingbird cam with the baby about ready to fly. It's in So CA.

Yes of course I'll be at blogfest. I'm quite certain I'm driving. I love to see how many bugs I can get to stick to my windshield. Can't wait to see you! Is Dora coming?

What a beautiful feeder. For some reason, we haven't had many this year, they have been handing around the honeysuckle, fresh is way better than the bottle and I can't say I would blame them.

This gives me hope. I've had a pretty hummingbird feeder for two years with nary a hummingbird in sight.

I'm so impressed you got a shot. I'm still trying but the finches seem to be keeping the hummers away. Wah.

This is a very lovely humming bird feeder. No wonder the birds have come to refresh themselves!

Congratulations! I had one buzz my feeder - the first time EVER as well - last week. Nada since. :(

That's the prettiest hummingbird feeder I've ever seen. We only have those plastic ones around here, at least that's all I've ever seen.

We have hummingbirds here that come out in the evening and flit around the flower beds - esp. the hanging baskets. It's hard to distinguish them from a bumble bee, some of them are so tiny. Love them.

I've seen a couple without a feeder. Now that I've put out red Begonias...nothing.

I just told a bird not to poop on my car.

I will be looking forward to more hummingbird photos. It was so cold here that I wonder if our hummingbirds survived. We had snow in June and lots of hail. I don't know if flowers were out for them.

Such a beautiful feeder - all crystal and ruby red, I'm surprised it took them 4 years to find it.

Yay! Must be something in the air. Or did you fill it with wine?

I have never gotten hummers to come to the fancy feeders - they like the cheapo Walmart ones. Bargain humters apparently.

I love those little critters. I had a wonderful time watching them up at the cottage last week.
