Getaway Friday!

And I hope you don't have this flight.
I thought this crap only happened to me.
And if that's a lap child, I'm friggin' Twiggy.

where's the Walmart man when you need him? Oh, that was just bad!

In case you do not know what I'm talking about, a man shopping in Walmart took it upon himself to slap a 2 year old for screaming in the store. Charges are being brought up against him.

I would have gotten up and asked for a later flight...it would have been worth it. None of mine were ever allowed to act like that...ever...not tolerated..not.at.all.

I would have been one of those nasty people that would have turned to the parent and said something very very rude. Never did my children act out that way. It was not allowed.

Wasn't that special! Bet the whole flight was just lovely.

Made my hand itch. That was a KID that needed 2 things, her own seat and a spanking! Lord what has the world come too?

I can not believe that she did not say something. My mouth would have been louder than the kid! NSLO was once offered candy from the woman in front of her on a flight if she did not kick the woman's chair. NSLO looked at her, took the candy after I said OK and then told the woman, "My mother won't allow me to do that, but thank you for the candy!"

And that kids is way over 2.

Deb stole my thunder! Where is that man who bitch slapped the kid in Walmart when you need him?

See, the problem is, even if you are the parent, there are these people out in the world today who would call it "abuse" if they see you slap your kid. What IS wrong in society today? You are a monster if you lay a hand on your own kid!! My son is 13 and still ducks and covers his head if I look at him sideways, cuz he knows what is coming!!

That kid was a prime example of the "never been slapping generation"!!

I think I would PRAY for the plane to crash. What are the parents thinking?!?

I really think, and have thought this since I spent 7+ hours flying back from Rome with a kid sitting behind me who kicked the back of my seat continuously even after I asked his parent to please make him stop, the airlines should have a section at the rear for people traveling with children. The way first class is curtained off .. put the rugrats and their owners in a separate area where they can drive one another nuts while the adults fly in peace.

I like Daryl's idea. They could give one of the flight attendants differential pay to take care of just that section.

I have flown with my kids only two times. They behaved well.

If that was my kid I would have used my WalMart voice with them and EVERYTHING would have been fine. Loved the one eye closing lady!!

I always gave my kids a healthy dose of Benadryl before flights & they were always as good as could be, LOL! I would have figured out a way to get some down that child too. But, that's just me.

Hope you have a great Labor Day!!

my kids would never behave like that ... unless they were in the safety of their own home... cory flew when he was little he was good as gold until we landed then after 8 hours of flying and switching planes he had a minor melt down before crashing out... but it lasted less than a min... i like daryls idea a section for kids and their owners in the back...always brings to mind bill cosbys show... the stand up called Himself .... hysterical...

Oy - can't imagine being stuck next to that. Though the whole vid is hilarious!

I wonder if her ears were hurting? Sometimes on the ascent and descent their ears will hurt if they have a cold. But she was way too old to sit on a lap. My last flight had a crying child for most of the way. Luckily it was only 1 hr and 15 min. Yay!

OMG...just when you think your day isn't going well... great twitch on that woman's face...priceless!

I can't believe the airline didn't force the parents to pay for a separate seat for that little hellion. My granddaughter was turning two during a trip to us and her parents were forced to pay full fare both ways.

I don't drink when I fly, but I would have made an exception if I was on that flight! Wow!
