I don't know many of those things (sorry), but do remember the reruns of the Monkees and my crush on what's his name...
What the hell is a Nik Nik shirt???
Not to make you feel older, but I don't know what most of those things are... :-)
I remember those things too~ and wedgies (the shoes) and jello 1-2-3, which I loved!
You whimpy young folk...you have so much less to forget.
I remember getting our first television set. Heck, I remember the first time I saw a TV. My cousins had one, and they lived in the country and what I saw were ghosts moving though a field of snow.
Better go put my teeth in.
I knew a few... but not many...Nauguhyde.. what the HECK is that..
Elephant bells (or wide flares) are back! A nice alternative to the sexy super slim skinny jeans..
And I am with Annie, both of us are older than you, what the hell is a Nik Nik shirt?
Nik Nik makes me think of Soupy Sales ..

Pearl Drops Tooth Polish...m'mmm, it's a GREAT feeling!
I actually miss that stuff!
Colorforms! I LOVED those things! I played with them for hours and hours! Wow - that brings back memories.
My Dad actually owned stock in Braniff Airlines...LOL.

I'd forgotten Pearl Drops! Remember that commercial? How funny.
Paper dolls. I had them.
I try to talk to The Child about how things are different now, just for him to be aware. I may be doing too good of a job: last week he asked me if there was electricity when I was a little girl.
Uh, yes, son, there was in fact.
Catalogs from department stores. I used to cut paper dolls out of them.
I remember most of those things! I love the Smothers Brothers! I have some things to add...
Gee Your Hair Smells Teriffic shampoo
Famolare Shoes

Bobby Sherman!!!
I loved Creepy Crawlers. Also had Creeple People, Vac-U-Form and my favorite...., Incredible Edibles with six flavors of Gobble-Degoop!
Oh boy, I remember 9 of those myself... And yes, what is a Nik Nik shirt? I may remember those, too, just by a different name.
I still have a pair of Earth Shoes, bought in 1972 in San Francisco.
You forgot Go-Go Boots.
Ahhh....the memories...
How about Lemon Up Shampoo, with the giant plastic lemon as the top? Charlie Brown shoes (or were they just here in MN?)? Yardley Pot O'Gloss lipgloss and Eau de London Perfume (all because of Twiggy)? Bean bag chairs? Giant, 10 lb. headphones for your "stereo" (usually bought by and given to you by Dad)? Ahem...this one really dates me...American Bandstand still in Philadelphia? And on and on...
The first Monkees album was my very first LP; I got it for my 11th birthday when I was in 6th grade. I'm wondering about the Nik Nik shirt, too...
Thanks for the walk down Primrose Lane (life's a holiday on Primrose Lane...with you)...oopsies, I mean memory lane... :) FUN!
Ok, I remember Braniff Airlines, Romper Room, Pearl Drops toothpaste (don't they still sell that stuff? heck, I even remember those, "Mmmm" commercials and that lady licking her teeth), but what are Nik Nik shirts? That's the one thing I'm lost on.
I actually miss the Carol Burnett show, their antics made me giggle! The Monkees? Not so much...
ohhhhhhhh I remember all of those...loved the romper room colorforms....and my neice is married to the nephew of the beauty who did the Pearl Drops commercial.....and she is still just as beautiful...love your this and thats....
The little man from Laugh In died; remember the show from 3 decades ago, can't remember the man's name, which I heard just this morning.
Didn't the Romper Room lady have some magical mirror you looked into? A hand-held gizmo?
Those damn paper dolls frustrated the hell out of me. I lacked the patience required to do each and every step of the process.
Had a match box version of the Monkees red station wagon. One of the Monkees (that cute one) was leaning out of the car waving. (It was unusual to have humans as part of the whole matchbox car, that's why this one was special.)

One Foot in the Grave; The Other in the Wheel-In Shower of the Nursing Home. Both Feet Are On Slippery Slopes
Gotta say that apart from the Monkees I haven't heard of most of these things.
The leotards are back in! Thanks to Lady Gaga. Although I wish someone would tell Madonna not to keep on wearing them.
How about Mentholatum.
How about Flatsies? Skediddle Kiddles?
That bitch on Romper Room never looked through her magic mirror and called my name.
My dad stole silverware from Braniff Airlines. When it was real silverware.
And I own a pair of newer version Earth shoes - I got them mostly for the nostalgia of my old pair!!
Are you too young to remember Fizzies? They were like a punch flavored Alka Seltzer.
always love the this and that...;p
What about "Shake-a- Pudding" and all that "Rice-a-Roni" that was given away on game shows?
The Carol Burnett Show! Love it. Why can't they have something like that now?
The Ed Sullivan show! You're still wet behind the ears!
<><
Thanks, Mama. I didn't feel old at all today UNTIL I read this post! I'm going to go watch "H.R. Puffenstuff" and "Lancelot Link" reruns. Oh, wait. They are probably too OLD to be shown on TV Land!!!
Aqua Net
Barbie Country Camper
Weebles
You've lost me with the Nik nik too. I looked it up on google images and I'm still lost!
I think kim-d and I lived in the same head or something. Her list prompted so many memories for me.
Mary Quant lipstick (silver and black tube)
Yucca Dew shampoo
Pssssst Dry Shampoo
Ultra Brite toothpaste
QT Quick tanning cream.. for that fashionable orange look
I remember watching Truth or Consequences once and the consolation prize was a carton of cigarettes!
I used to love the Betsy McCall paper doll that appeared every month in McCall's magazine.
What is a Nik Nik shirt? Have you answered that yet? :-/
Just remembered all those TV cigarette ads. Benson and Hedges. Good. Doral (the one with the dancing cigarette pack with the woman's legs singing "Taste me, taste me, come on and taste me."). Very, very weird.
