A Fine Legacy

A necessary second post today...
Through all the Tim Russert sadness of the last few days, we have been hearing a great deal about how important being a father was to him.  This morning, Matt Lauer spoke with Luke Russert about his father and all the wonderful memories that come with being the son of such a man.  This young man just graduated from college a few weeks ago, and if you take the time to watch this, I know you will be just as blown away by the poise and grace this young man possesses.  A fine legacy, indeed.

I only heard yesterday while at Ness' site. So very sad. I'm in the middle of his first book about his dad, Big Russ, and it's so touching.

Have you been over to imbeingheldhostage yet?

I saw a clip of this, but thank you for posting the entire show. I had never heard Luke speak before and now I feel better. He is an amazing and extremely intelligent young man and with his Mom, they will both get through this together. He's strength and composure blew me away.

I couldn't agree more. Obviously Tim was a fine Dad in every sense of the word to have such a wise, gentle and well-humored child. I'm still sad about his passing.

...Hello, happened over here via CBW's site... Love your blog and just wanted to say "thanks" for posting this. I couldn't watch anything regarding Tim Russert's passing because it was just to sad for me to comprehend. I did watch this all the way thru and had tears streaming down my face... What an incredible person Tim Russert was and what an incredible son they have raised. Tim is missed and will be missed for a long time to come...

...Blessings... :o)
