Come and listen to a story about a duck named Ned
A green headed mallard with big ideas in his head,
Then one day he's floating without a care,
And right through the pond came the Missus on a tear.
Hormonal she was, to a tee.
Well the first thing you know ol' Ned's a swimming fiend,
Kinfolk said Ned, she needs a new scene
Said Mental P's the place you really ought to be
So they loaded up with eggs and moved to Mental P's.
Mama's that is.
Swimming pool, and the dawg don't care.
The Mental P Mallards!
Dawg don't care.
~~~
Nope, not at all.
Mental P?
She cares.
She doesn't want these prizes in the pool.
Please.
Please?
Um, how do you get rid of them? I'm guessing a guy in camo fatigues with a ten-guage is NOT the answer...
Love the dog -- totally clueless!
xoxo,
Mary
so If I come hang out in your pool will the dog care?
Beautiful birds but not too bright at times... laying eggs in the pool... hummmm
I laughed out loud last night... was on the front porch talking to my aunt heard the most awful racket in the woods... Squirt queen of the hood who wont run for food even... stood watching with me... then what came out but an armadillo... that dog took off down the steps and across the yard ... she was so out of breath she could not bark but she jumped ON TOP of the armadillo and made it leave the yard! was too funny!
I should have peed before I read this!!! I'm old...the song clicked right with your words! ROFLMAO you rock girl!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are your dogs Jethro and Ellie May?
What have we here???
The New England Hillbillies???
Jethro would be so proud...(tee hee!)
xoabb
Laughed out loud, but now I have that darn song in my head....
So how many eggs did you harvest? Do mallard eggs make good omelets?
Mama I am voting you keep them right where they are. Simply because I am looking forward to all the wonderful pictures you will be showing. BTW, loved the song you wrote. To cute.
I am very impressed that y'all knew what song I wrote this for! Smart bloggie buddies! And, Flea, I have just about the same reaction to duck eggs as I have to wet earthworms on my driveway. Just ask Annie. They were back this morning, and Dora just stood there staring at them. I had to scare them for her. They are not so neat. But they are cute.
:) You TOLD me to relax..I have it in writing LOL!
David installed the floor downstairs after the last flood. I'm thinking of hardwood and it's a BIG space....otherwise, he'd have already done it :)
Oh great! Now I won't get the Beverly Hillbillies song out of my head! You deserve the egg for that! LOL
OMG--you have a career as a song writer! I am laughing so hard! And I just happened to watch the Hillbillies this morning. Mallards are beautiful!
Call Dr Melfi ... I hear she's got room for a new patient . and she knows all about ducks in the pool
Love your re-wording the Beverly Hillbillies song ..
:-Daryl
That just cracks me up. I just can't believe those ducks would rather be in a pool than a pond. There is no food in the pool...well is there? Maybe they like the pool boy and the maid service.....
LOL, but it is a clean place to raise their babies.. too funny..
I love singing along with you in the morning!
I'm surprised Dora doesn't care! Maddie and Cassie would consider jumping in to get to the ducks... and they hate water!
You--my dear-- are so very talented!
Those lyrics to your song are perfect.
Call your local TV news station with your story and that song. I
bet they would be interested in this *human interest* story.
Just think you could become famous.
Can I have your autograph?
I would love to have them and the egg. Actually, I still want your pool. Just can't feel for you right now. Love those ducks.
Are you kidding me? Eggs in the pool? Eeeee gads, I thought possums in the pool were bad enough!
got mail today :d Love the heart post it :D thank you !
damn - really? the chlorine doesn't bother them?
beautiful pool, btw.
Beautiful ducks~~Beautiful pool~~ hope the ducks don't make the pool their cee-ment pond, odd, ducks usually make nests for their eggs
Well Goooolllly!
This is hysterical.
I'm a first time visitor too. You rock!
