This 'n That Thursday

  • Rabbit, rabbit.  Sending lots of good first-day-of-the-month love to my friends impacted by Sandy.
  • That one with the white fence around it used to be my house in Westport.  This picture was taken by the Connecticut National Guard on Tuesday afternoon.  I'm thinking they had water on the first floor during high tide Monday night.
  • The devastation in New York City and New Jersey, however, looks horrifying.
  • And let's give props to Christie, Cuomo, Malloy, Bloomberg and President Obama.  That's what bipartisanship should look like.
  • By the way, I had a dream on Monday night that I was married to Mitt Romney.  I am blaming it on the full moon.  Our marriage seemed to be very good, though.  More bipartisanship.
  • Meanwhile, here in reality, I am heading to my new office this morning.  So thankful.  So very thankful.

I am LMAO over Incredible Woody's comment ...

SO happy you have a new office .. and sorry for the new occupants at the old house ...

and its about time all this separatism ended... if only it would remain but i am old enough to know its only a temporary cease-fire .. Mittens in his need to look presidential extended the olive branch tho i suspect if one looks more closely its really a thorny branch ....

So happy for you! You deserve this! Well, maybe not the Romney part. ;)

The devastation in New York looks terrible. I can't imagine what it must feel like to lose your home.

It's pretty symbolic to me that you are on your way to a new office in a brand new life as your old home floods.

Please do not marry a Republican.

See you soon!

I'm sorry to say that our friendship would cease if you were to marry Mittens...even in dreamland! So happy for your new office, your new life, it all sounds so exciting. Sad for the east coasters, many of my relatives in NY/NJ were flooded. Hard to see places you used to play as a child...gone. I hope they can recover and rebuild. take care mama.

It's so sad :( I can't even imagine.

I'm glad you are not in your old house...

New office? Congratulations and I know you can't wait to get started!

I hear Mitt is a good hubby!

Okay then, I'll marry Mitt, not because he's a Repulican but because then I'd not have to worry about how to pay the rent. :)

So very, very sad the devastation of Sandy. The are all in my thoughts and prayers. I can't even imagine what those folks are going through; how they'll rebuild and how long it will take. And, to have lost loved ones; unimaginable.

New office? Girl, you are on a roll and I'm so happy for you. Do you work on Saturday? :)

xoxo
