The "searching, searching" was interesting but then I got a little nervous when it came to the "wait." Then I read TSAnnie's "wascally wabbit in sight" comment and I cracked up.
Now - if it had just been my cat that the bird was after - that would have been even more awesome...seriously, I hate that cat. Okay - hate is awfully strong. Dislike. I keep it for the kids. But one day - it will seriously become a bird's lunch if it doesn't watch out.
That's a beauty. I have a couple of hawks hanging around my feeder these days.. making for far fewer birds around my area. But they've all got to eat. Great capture.
totally awesome capture i NEED a camera like yours... MIKE and I were blessed to actually see a brunch one day... the hawk took a tree rat right out of the tree beside us!!! oh had i had a great camera... then i might could have shared :) lol...
Awesome! Wish it would have brought it's feast back to the tree. Would love to have seen what it captured. Are you missing anything? Small dogs, small children, rabbit????

Well snapped!
Those hawks scare me as much as a vulture! I guess we all have to eat though.
Get better! Dora is a good nurse, right?

Wow - those are fabulous shots. Wonder what was on the menu. Mouse, perhaps?

What great shots!
Throwing the dead squirrel on the ground like that to get the perfect shot was a bit cruel though!
