Think About It

Dora says,  "Thanks."
So does Noelle.
Maybe we should make a visit to our local shelter this week.
Empty nest feeling is getting stronger.
Need a new family member.
Like a puppy or something.

Mavis Bacon...think Toto's blonde sister, she's a post soon, from the pound at Thanksgiving. Go for it, Mama P. Mental

I insisted on a dog from the shelter when we told our kids they could have a dog ... and he's the best dog I've ever had. So good natured and bonded to our family.

Oh...I just can't take in another animal. I have rescued many cats two of which I kept for myself and the others....I have found homes for all of them.
Poor babies...

We'll be going to the shelter soon. My sister in law had to have her chiwawa (sp) put down today. Poor little thing could not walk anymore. A sad day but some good memories. No home is complete with out the unconditional love of a pet. Thanks for your commintment to the shelters.

Yeah, I think you should do it, but please don't do what my mother did when her 3 daughters left the nest.

Yaddda yadda yadda, she now has 19 cats, 3 dogs, 2 geese and several ducks. (The cats are all finally fixed, but the original ones were wild and were impossible to catch/fix. All other animals she adopted willingly. It's worse than dr. Doo Little.)

I would adopt them all, but Thomas Jefferson said no...he tolerates the two geckos,(Sammy Davis Junior and Leo DeCaprio who we found out is a girl) but that is only because he likes to watch them eat live crickets....

I know, totally gross.

With the downturn in the economy shelters are over-burdened with pets that families can no longer afford. They are cherished family members that deserve a second chance in a loving home. I had a difficult time walking away from a sweet pair of brown eyes last Sunday at Petco's pet adoption center. Doughboy reminded me that we have the maximum number of pets for our county. Boo hoo. I hope she found a great home. Good luck in your search! You'll make a great mama ;)

I cannot get another pet, but this is an excellent idea for people who are looking to adopt. Do you really think you'll do it?

I have two cats Crash & Burn. Both were kittens and they were strays. Burn just walked into the house when the door was opened. If my community didn't have rules limiting me to two animals, I'd probably go to a shelter for another kitten.

Someone told me today to get a dog for my blood pressure. Now you post this. Omen? I do believe so!

I'm really seriously considering this. I miss having a cuddly dog!

You need another!

I would be happy to adopt every single one of them. Also a reason Trucker doesn't take me to pet stores! As it is I told the kids the other day if they hear anyone talking about the "crazy cat lady" it was probably me. We are up to 4 housecats (who do go out sometimes) and 4 outdoor cats. They are wild and lived under the house. And of course our Shi Tzu "babycakes".

I LOVE my pound kitty:) Go for it, get a puppy. They travel well, and your new addition would enjoy a nice visit to the wide open spaces in rural Virginia!!! With all the pets running around, CBMother wouldn't even notice if you left the little fella with her for the day!!!

Awww...all of ours are either adopted or dropped off, and we wouldn't trade them for the world!
