Did You Know...

...that the recent $18 billion in Wall Street Bonuses (to bailout company employees) would have paid the tuition for every incoming college freshman this year?  Our tax dollars are hard at work.

At least our President was disgusted.

And there wasn't one want ad in our local paper this morning.

As the days go by, I find myself stunned by the lack of conditions our former congress/administration placed on those infusion dollars. Credit markets are still tight and bonuses are still being given out.

Totally disgusted...

What totally disgusts me are the elected Republicans in both the House and the Senate ... not a single one of them voted for the bail out ... HELLO those are YOUR constitutents who are suffering ... what happened to all that bipartisan rhetoric Senator McCain?

Good point. Scary and sad and WTF-inducing but good point.

"Give them money and they will lend it." This was the entire plan? It sounds a lot like "Give them democracy and they will become a beacon of hope in the Middle East." And we all know how well that has turned out so far...

Bah.

Mary

Or...each and every living American citizen would receive $60.

From Forest Gump, "Stupid is as stupid does."

You know what else I'm sick of? Elected and appointed officials not paying their taxes and passing it off with a, "My bad."

Give me a break! What an example to set for the people you are hired to represent. FYI people in Washington: with position goes responsibility.

I know MANY ordinary people who are more responsible and would set better examples than these pathetic *baboons (*which includes those *%#!'s on Wall Street).

My daughter has never been able to get a grant or any help in college thanks to my GREAT salary! Yea right! I get so tired of the middle class, hard working family not being able to get any help. Makes me mad!

I've been doing it wrong all these years: paying bills as I go, buying only what I can afford as opposed to what I want. I should've been flying high and I too could stick my hand out for a bailout. Hmph.

No, I didn't know this.

I want a bailout too. Now. So I can quit my job and move to an island where it's warm. With good looking hotties putting lotion on my back. Ahhhh.
