Listen up. Our wonderful Country Girl Kate is having another giveaway. Get over there. And vote for your favorite textured picture. The contest ends on Thursday (2/26). She's been on a texturitation mission. And, yes, I have just decreed texturitation a word. So there. My favorite texturitized shot is Mr. and Mrs. Goldfinch on Valentine's Day:
And now that I have looked at it,
I think it might be Mr. and Mr. Goldfinch.
And that is a-okay in my book.
Go be who you are, and
go leave a comment.
What's your favorite shot?
Tell her Mental P sent you.
And may the best pimp win.
Have you noticed that I like to start sentences with the conjunction, "And"?
And what are you going to do about it?
I thought so.

Texturitation, you say? Qwah!
I was just going to say... Aren't those two males? Oh, who gives a hoot. They're pretty and I get a huge kick out of birds & their funny little personalities & quirks.
I love that word! Texturization. It conjers up such luscious layered thoughts. Think I'll go *texturate* now.
Yes, it is a word in a scientific sense, but not as of yet recognized by Webster's Dictionary...I hope they give you credit for it though.
If I ever need a pimp, I want you to be mine!
I have a texturiation handicap. I can't do it! I've tried and tried. It's easier to win one of Kate's photos. My pick is Daisy in Texture. It goes well with my print of A Whiter Shade of Pale. Or perhaps the Queen Anne Lace. Arggghhh! I can't choose!
Oh, we all are pimping...nasty girls!
I love that picture of the birdies. I have no idea what texturization or texturitation is but I do know I don't have those skills.
The Rainbow Coalition....it's a good thing...even in the birdy world.
Wow, I went and looked and they were all so great! Have a good night!
I think it's a word too. Pay no attention to spellcheck... And I start a lot of sentences with and too.
I thought only old people looked at birds until I got a feeder... now I love attracting all the birds to it. My favorite is the hummingbirds. Maybe I am old.
Thanks for linking to such beautiful photographs.
She's my next spot! I'm blog-hopping now.
Oh! I just realized that is probably one way to tell we are getting old(er)! We blog-hop instead of bar-hop!
Hi ~ this is my first visit here and I had fun! I love making up words - it drives my husband crazy especially when I defend my word making abilities. I can't wait to throw texturitation into a sentence today! Enjoy your day!
I thought "texturitation" was something you did to your ceilings~never~mind~I'll just go leave a comment.
AND so do I ..
Loving the texture! And the boy birds!
I'm a big fan of the conjunction "And".
Pimping? I guess you had to take any job you could get THESE days...
SO every semester, my students proudly announce that no sentence should ever begin with a conjunction. BUT I always correct them by saying, "Not so. You should just read my blog. I try to begin every paragraph with a conjunction." "AND we know that bloggers are always right." SO there.
Conjunction junction what's your function. Yeah, thought you would enjoy a little Schoolhouse Rock.
I love making up new words. I may adopt texturization.
I will notify Noah Webster that you have created a new word.
Cool word...love it! TEXTURITATION...it's a mouth full for sure...I will pop over and check it out...I love this photo...I could sit and watch birds all day!
My fav is the daisy!
I made my way over and left my vote for the Vestry Windows. Love that shot!
and I love an and at the beginning because the end is never the end.
I love the Mr & Mr and I headed over and voted for you :)
I loved her lighthouses too!
You sure have a way with words, my dear.
I, too, am fond of starting sentences with "And." And occasionally "But." So I will not be doing anything about you doing the same thing. And I love the texturization and Mr. and Mr. Bird; it's beautemous.
But I'll probably win and then I'll have to send it to you. OK. I'm there.
And maybe you're right. About the Mr. and Mr.
And maybe you've sent like a million people over to my blog.
And now I'm going to have to choose more than one winner.
So beautiful. I wish I knew how to work with photos like that. kate is so talented.
