Today on our little closet project, we are going to check in on the Mental P. Offspring closets. The two of them are quite distinct in their housekeeping standards. Come on in for the tour.
Here is a closet in The Bird's room.
All her little dresses are all lined up and neat.
She's such a good baby girl.
Here are some of her shoes.
She has swapped her summer shoes out for her winter shoes.
Unlike someone else in the house.
Check out those leopard jobs.
I don't understand her fixation on shoes.
Seriously.
Where does it come from?
And here we have her laundry.
In its basket.
All neat and waiting for a spin in the laundry room.
Across the hall is a different story.
Augie.
He actually paid cash money for that jacket.
Isn't it something?
Here we have a collection of assorted boxes.
I also found a few Christmas wrappings.
Forget about even getting to the desk behind all this mess.
And, yes, those are pink and green sneakers under that football jersey.
Size 13. Pink and green.
The boy's closet.
I've given up on that t-shirt collection there.
Notice all those empty hangers?
Here's all the stuff that belongs on them.
I count 4 beautiful neckties mixed in this heap.
And the laundry basket?
Is full of clean laundry.
From last week.
Gah.

I live with 3 testosterone vessels and they are not neat so I understand completely.
Pick any closet in this house and they would all be less organized than the ones you just showed. TOG's and mine is the worst.
I'm diggin' all the shoes though! Even the pink and green ones!
I am more like Augie than Bird. Love the hoodie and those leopard shoes...OMG.
I feel like a voyeur peeking into Mental children's closets. My boy's looks likes Augies. I feel your pain.
did you get any leads on the red cowboy boots? they sell them here. I may have to raid some closets here but might not get to it today I am thinking I might find a hole and crawl into it today... poor pityful me so ill wahhhh wahhh.
I agree 100% on the GAH! regarding the closets. However, a SIZE 13 can wear any color sneakers he wants. Who's gonna tease him? I mean, really! BWAHAHAHA. I love that he has those sneakers, and I really love the jacket. I can just tell, wherever this kid is, fun is being had.
On the other side of the hall, all I can think of is...like mother, like daughter. Those little leopard numbers? Hmmmm...very, very cute...and also the pink ballet flats!
That's so typical...my kids were the same. Daughter's closet = great shape...son's closet = looked like a garbage dump.
Some things never change!
Sadly enough, Snow White's room makes Augie's look as if the Clean Sweep Crew has been to visit:/ True story.
Your daughter comes by it rightly...I think...just from reading your posts about shoes...her closet is in great shape....my kids would have never let me take pictures of their things...well maybe B because he is a neatnick...your son makes me smile and our oldest son tried on shoes that looked just like those and wanted to buy them...not sure why he didn't...so fun! ♥ the leopard shoes...too cute!
My son will turn 21 in June and his room still looks like one big pile of laundry. I gave up a long time ago and just shut the door to his room.
Pink/Green are the colors of Connecticut .. specifically Greenwich (said in that lock jaw way)
So, so typical! However, I have closet issues of my own, so I can't really say much!
Little T has an Augie room. My solution is closing the door!
The Bird?? She aint like her mama much!
That jacket is HILARIOUS.
Geez. What contrasts. And that jacket is too awful for words. Sorry, Augie.
If you take Augie's closet and times it by one hundred, toss in some dead bodies and a few small families, that is my closet.
Your daughter's shoes are lined up more neatly than a store display. I wish I was born with that gene for organization.
Well at least it is "she" that is neat and tidy. Wouldn't it be odd if he was the neat one and she the slob? But I will tell you, I know where another closet disaster lives...in OKC. I tried to raise her better but....oh well. There is still hope for her I am sure.
And I bet he knows exactly where everything is in that room??? What do you want to bet? Don't move anything, you will upset his universe! Go have a glass of wine and shut the door!!!
Oy...I would have gray hair and wrinkles from dealing with all the MESS! Okay, I have that anyway. But the MESS. I simply can't handle disorder. Unless, of course, the mess is mine. That is entirely different.
Augie looks like he is channeling his future life in the dorm;)
fffffffffftttttttttt!!!!!!!!
Dear Miss Mental,
My mom, TSannie has been rendered speechless by that jacket. She then fainted dead away when she saw the pink & green shoes. I think they're really cute!
Love, Stella-Bella
Yep, we're talking prime dorm material, that son of yours!
As for your daughter's closet? That's almost scary... Darling shoes though!
You know they never grow out of it either. My son came home for a Christmas visit and he junk was everywhere. The laundry basket was just pushed out in the room (it resides in the closet on the floor). I used to give him his clean clothes to put away and instead of putting them away they ended up on his bedroom floor, still folded, among all the dirty clothes he tossed here and there. He told me once that it was a waste of time to put them away or hand them up because he was just going to wear them and get them dirty again. Gah! Gah is right.
Love love love those leopard shoes! And my closest- never clean, and never organized :)
The Y chromosome is truly missing something isn't it?
I'm in love with the leopard shoes! Although, they would clash with that jacket!!
Can I use the shoe pic for an upcoming post on my blog?
1 out of 2 is not bad. I am raising three closet slobs. They are just like their Momma :(
Believe me, you will MISS Augie's mess LOL! I love the closet watch. Why have I not been on the computer? Missing so much....
I need to quit work so I can read blogs and smile!
I am a neat closet freak. The rest of the place can be falling down around me but the drawers and closets will be neat. I am having some serious pink and green shoe envy.
