My Winter World--Memories

Playing along with the My World folks....
A peek into Mental Land today.
This is a dim memory.
And this beautiful sight?
Was this a scant few months ago....
Some things never change.
Sighing.  Out. Loud.

Mama: Those are cute capture of your pool area. Change is inevitable except for the tires.

Aren't you organized to find the befores for this post! I applaud you, really I do! Organization is what I thrive for at the moment. LOL

Beautiful memories. At least you have them. The tires made me laugh.

Please be so kind to put your country after your name when you link from the My World Tuesday site. I took care of it for you today.

Thanks so much for participating!

Ahhh... the memories of summer.

Glad to see Augie's tires still there (not).

Farmer's Almanac says we're going to have a particularly bad winter. Wouldn't it be nice if they were wrong, for once?

the snow hasn't made the tires disappear...let me get on that shortly :)
have a wonderful week.

Every day I stare at my cold, covered pool and dream of next summer. I don't do cold well....although, I wouldn't mind a white Christmas:)

Whoops! Forget to mention that I will have to tell you the UVA story when we meet in person. Let's just say that I have an issue with them!!! **insert evil laugh*

Great idea comparing the summer scene to the winter one. Those tires still there, uh?

Try to think of the tire pile as a tire sculpture - not that it will help any, but it sounds better.

I love the snow and hope we here in NJ get a little this year. And as cold as it must be for snow, it looks so pure and clean, it can even make tires look nice.

Nice tires.

Some pay a lot of money for sculptures they can keep outdoors .. so you should put a little museum plaque on them and charge admission!

Love the pool ... what's up with the wheels and tires?

It's raining here. Which means it will freeze. And maybe be covered with snow. Is it April yet?

I know what you mean (i.e. somethings never change). My son moved back home. Prior to that I was doing laundry (maybe 3 times a week) now - everyday. Every FRIGGIN' DAY!

Not snowing here (arkansas) yet. But, they said it will before tonight. We'll see.

Great sense of humor you bring to your world. Thanks for joining us this week.

These are wonderful. Doesn't seem all that long ago, and yet--a million years!

Them aren't tires... them there are redneck flowerbeds... silly Mama.

BWAHAHAHAHA...those damn tires! It reminds me of one of those "can you spot the item that does not fit" thingies. We have lots of the white stuff, too. It doesn't seem quite so bad here, though, because my yard didn't look anything like yours before. What??? Does that make sense? Back to the tires...BWAHAHAHAHA!

I love the pool pictures. Shall we have a summer blogfest up your way? Spring in Virginia; summer up there; fall in the mid-west (Grandma J.?) and West Coast for winter.

Oh, and I don't know what BHE is talking about with the UVA people...some of us are OK. Arguably.

Snow is one thing I don't have so it makes me envious...it looks so pur-tee.

Me too. I miss the snow. Or, to be accurate, I miss the first snowfall of the year. Since I am in business for myself with no paid leave, I do not miss snow days.

I'm with Ellen...think of the tires as art!

Poor Augie....

I bet them poor ducks are gone South for the winter too! You closed up their house!

Great photos!
