Did Someone Say Snow?

Here's the update:
I'd say we have about six inches right now.
And we may be half way through this.
But I am a Connecticut Yankee now.
I can handle anything.
Right?

So, Annie and Jules came to pick me up.
Annie kept her eyes on me the whole way to lunch.
Lunch.
Home.
Pretty?
Augie makes himself useful.
Holiday Inn.
The Bird's eye view.
That inflatable Santa is across the street and buried.
Look at that boy go!
Oh.  What are these?
Meanwhile, The Bird is busy.
Making a mess.
I have a pork roast in the crock pot.
I have a nice supply of olive juice.
I may be baking soon.
Life is good.
Happy Friday, everyone!

LIfe is good indeed! I'm so envious of the wine. Oh, and the snow too, of course. Can you send some our way? Thanks. I'll take 10 inches.

(That last sentence didn't sound very nice, and for clarification I was talking about snow. Now I'm off to have some wine and wait for my 10 inches....of snow!)

LOL @ CBW and her 10 inches comment. *snort*

The snow looks lovely. I am envious of Annie's Murano - I used to have one and miss it. But it's not large enough for my gang.

The house looks lovely - so does the snow. Warm and cozy inside with a roast on - doesn't get a whole lot better than that.

I was wondering if the snow had hit there yet. It is lovely. Hope you're not too cold.

As for the "power lunch", that's what I'm having for dinner. Gearing up for some shopping tonight.

Toodles!

Word has it we are making a run for the pub. I'll let you know if they have a generator!
Your snow is lovely! So is your lunch!

Made Pioneer Woman's Spicy Molasses Cookies. They are FANTASTIC! Now making oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. And another batch of my mama's Louisiana Cookies. Gonna need bigger sweats.

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend a Friday. Stay warm, my friend and don't run out of the olive juice!

All we got was rain. Yuck! Enjoy your snow. At least the boy got home from CT yesterday so he didn't have to drive home in the bad weather.

CBW is definitely tuned into my sense of humor.

I am so jealous...I am here barefoot, baking cookies, wearing a t-shirt and my lightweight sweat pants WITH THE WINDOW OPEN!!! Something is really wrong with this picture...it is not like I am in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, or even North Carolina. I am bummed, so you better send me some right now. I agree with CBW, 10 inches of the white stuff would perk me right up.

Wine at lunch would do it too.

Lauren...it is so amazingly beautiful.

Your snow is very, very pretty. It almost makes me want some. I cooked up a batch of Pioneer Woman's Spicy Molasses Cookies too. They came out as pretty as the picture and were soooo good. I think I need to try more of her recipes.

You were in my thoughts when I heard the weather for up North! I came over and was happy to see you guys "enjoying" the winter wonderland :) I'm glad you all are having a great day...sounds perfect!

It's 62 degrees here. Um....

10 inches? I'll take ten inches too. And I don't care how it sounds.
Ha!!! Love that winter white!

I'm jealous of your snow. It was 68 degrees here today. No white Christmas in our future. I consoled myself with two glasses of tart, crisp Reisling wine. Yum!

Awwwwwwww... I miss the snow so much sometimes! It was in the upper 70's here today but I was busy cleaning so the kids can come home & mess it all up. I'm wacky like that.

Lunch looked particularly enticing, lol.

Some lovely and inviting shots.. particularly your liquid lunch. We been dumped upon as well. It looks great for a few days but it gets tired really quick. I love your bird's eye-view shot.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas. :)
