Blather:
- You have to walk up three flights of stairs to get to my townhouse. I am regaining some muscle.
- Lots of change in this move back to Tennessee.
- Dreading the DMV.
- Church shopping is interesting. I have to keep perspective that I will never replace St. Paul's on the Green.
- Dora gets her stitches (deer kick) out this morning. She is excited, but she doesn't know why.
- I get cable and Internet tomorrow. I am excited, and I do know why.
- The local farmers' market here in Franklin is amazing.
- I think I may be allergic to my sisal rug.
- My favorite vitamin is D3.
- New food obsession these days: vidalia onions. I work them into every meal. Yes, breakfast was egg whites, vidalia and broccoli.
- Did I mention that I get cable tomorrow? I love listening to NPR, but I want to watch the olympics instead of listening to them. gah
- Have a great Monday. What are you doing?

I feel your pain in church shopping. The church I attended in Virginia (Episcopal) was welcoming, warm, Spirit-filled and was my parish for 20 years. After searching here in Pennsylvania for something similar I came to the conclusion that I wasn't going to find it. Makes me sad. Parish life was a very big part of my social life in Virginia.
So how long have you coped without the internet? I can't handle more than a day. :D
Glad to hear that you are starting to get settled in!! I wish I could report otherwise, but, after a year and a half, I'm still dealing with some issues similar to yours..my church being the most difficult thing to have had to give up:/ ((hugs))
Even when new (or newly out of a warehouse) there is often mold/mildew lurking in sisal rugs, so that may be the culprit. A shame, because I do like the look and feel of them under my feet, but had to let them go.
Thought of you yesterday morning around St. Paul's time and knew you were going to miss it :(
As long as you are not lugging a bunch of groceries, the stairs are great!
So glad Dora is better :)
Internet/Cable are a must have!
Glad you are getting settled and I don't have a clue what that rug is LOL
I am so glad that you are settling in at your new Tennessee residence! Welcome HOME, kiddo.
I hope Dora T E Ward's stitches removal went well.
Do not know what kind of rug that is.
I've never had cable, ever. But, I would miss internet.
So, you have to walk three stories up to a townhouse that you have to walk another story to the top. See? I know nothin.
We lived up three flights once, and yep the only problem, groceries.
I once lived on the second floor, with the top floor tiled and the woman wore heels and walked like a linebacker.
The person on the first floor worked in a bar, came home at 3 a.m. turned the radio UP so loud it woke me up when I really needed to get up at 4:30 to be at work at 6.
I felt like the middle of a sardine sandwiche.
I moved.
The end.
xoxo
Yay for cable! I'm sorry to hear you may be allergic to that rug. I'm not sure how I'd feel about the 3 flights of stairs. Especially with groceries. But I could use the workout, that's for sure.
Three flights of stairs - you're making my knees hurt.
Glad to hear that you are settling in. And that Dora is on the mend.
:)
Mmmm...vidalia onions! YAY, Dora! I had to take a nap and 3 extra strength Tylenol at the thought of your steps. :D So happy for you!
Wait. The local farmers are amazing? BHE and I can't wait for our fall Thelma and Louise-themed visit!
Wait. You said farmers market.
Still, one can extrapolate, interpolate, investigate and Brad Pittolate, no?
