We've had a drama filled week here in Mental Land.
Noelle the resident cat was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.
We rushed her to the animal hospital where they drained the fluid
in her chest cavity and put her in an oxygen tank for two days.
When she came home Friday night she was skin and bones.
And her sister Dora took over her care.
Best friends.
She's already feeling better and putting on some weight.
I am thinking cats really do get many lives.
Our next stop will be the kitty cat cardiologist.
My wallet can hardly wait.
(Sorry for the fuzzy pictures, my phone was all I had at the moment)

glad shes better.... i hope your wallet does not get hurt too badly! hugs
Oh no... hate that for you. It's so hard to see them ill. I hope she's on the mend and that the cardiologist will have a solution for you.. and a not too large bill. That's an incredibly sweet photo.
Oh how adorable. I hope she continues to improve. With doggy watching over her I'm sure she will!
Poor Mama! Poor Wallet!
But what a lucky cat to be so loved! Just look at nurse Dora!
Poor little Noelle, she looks just like our Rosie, good thing she has Dora to mother her ... I hope there is a relatively easy fix for this .. a pill maybe .. keeping all sorts of healing vibes headed her way and lots of hugs for you (and I am sure the Bird and Augie)
Do you think the cat is trying to keep the kiddo's home to go to a local college?
I will be praying for her and so will Thomas J.
They are so cute together. Pets are so much a member of our family...I think they get better treatment than us humans sometimes! Glad she is doing better!
Poor baby kitty. I'm so glad she has you as a mama.
Oh no! I can't imagine what that cost. Hope she is better soon.
BTW, I love Dora.
Will Obamacare cover the pets?
Oh no! OMG I know you feel so badly and I can only imagine the squeeze on the wallet from a cat cardio...holy cow.
The dog/cat thing is pretty cute though.
That is a heart-melting photo. I'll be thinking good thoughts for both your pet and your checkbook.
Animals KNOW how to convey compassion, sometimes better than humans.
Hope Noelle gets better. I think she wants Augie and Bird to attend Community college.
sweet little kit...hope she can be treated with minimal impact to you both ^..^
her doggie sister was soo kind to be there for emotional support.
hugs to noelle ^..^
Oh, I'm sorry for you and sorry for Noelle...I know what a sinking feeling it is to have to rush a resident kitty to the animal hospital. Although I'm sorry, too, for the strain on the wallet, I'm glad you're willing to do what it takes. I'm the same way with my two...I may not like it, but whatever...I'll do it. I love them and they love me. Now if only I had a Dora to love all of us!
Those pix made my week. I've loved Dora from the first pic I ever saw of her, but now I love her even more. She is a very good girl. :)
I hope Noelle feels 100% soon! Those pictures are just so precious.
Awwww! I'll be thinking about you and the babies. Hope she is better soon.
Thanks for explaining the fuzzy pictures because for a minute I was really concerned about your Nikon.
I'm glad she continues to feel better. I was worried about her!
I don't know much about cats, but I can tell you, that dog won't let anything bad happen to that kitty.
Happy Heart Doc visit
This is a case where the quality of the photos is in the love that shines through. Beautiful
Poor Noelle! Hope she's feeling better soon....and that the kitty cat cardiologist goes easy on you:)
That picture is adorable!! I'm feelin' the love...;)
Yep... our household can attest to the fact that pets are expensive, but we love them too much to let them suffer so we open our wallets wide. Hope your kittly gets well soon... :-)

The Blue Ridge Gal
just as 'sisters' should be...
oh man this is not good. not good, will be praying. I'm sorry. I've been so sad about my old dog lately that all I can do for you is shed tears.
Oh no, I hate to hear about emergency trips to the vet and terrible things happening to kitties.
Here's hoping she continues to improve.
Best wishes to Noelle. Dora will take good care of her too!!
Not fun...not fun at all. Good outcome I hope.
Oh no! I am glad she is doing better. I never knew kitties could have congestive heart failure!
I can't tell the photos are fuzzy and they are darling. With a concerned furry friend like that she is bound to get better soon. I hope so.
Oh, poor Noelle! Hope she has a speedy recovery and that she has a few more lives let. However, Dora really will help Noelle get well...
With my cat, I know how many lives I've paid for. I just don't know how many other close calls she's had when I don't know about it.
She looks like my KiKi, a cat that we had for about 15 years. Hope she is feeling better soon. It looks like she has a very nice friend.
Our wallet is quite a bit lighter after our daughter's dog had a run-in with the vet two weeks ago :-)
wow, MP, I could hear your wallet screaming all the way over here! I am so sorry for the trauma and hope she recovers quickly with all of that wonderful care she's getting with that sweet Nurse Dora.
Awwwwww, it's so hard to see our fur babies not feeling well. Having four of the furbeasts myself, I dread that day. Hopefully with their combined 36 lives, it will be some time before then.
Really sweet photo with her doggy sister. *sigh*
I'm gonna go snuggle my own beasties and say a little prayer for yours.
Hoping for all the best Mama and sending prayers.
That last photo made me melt. Hope she's better soon
Oh my stars!!! I ♥ that last picture.....the compassion on Dora's face.......absolutely priceless...hope she is better soon...
