Kids in College= Party Time!

The Mental P Rugrats have both been launched. With a minimum of weeping and gnashing of teeth. And Mental P? Well she's just fine. And here's why:

The Virginia Blogging Sisters.

Big Hair Envy and I made plans to meet up for dinner after I finished setting The Bird up at UVa. We settled on an Italian restaurant outside of Richmond. I made a reservation at a nearby hotel. Then I started getting excited. I invited Chesapeake Bay Woman in a comment and she didn't respond. I thought it was odd, but chalked it up to her busy schedule. And do you know why she didn't respond?

CBW, BHE and Momx2
Sorry about the pic, all I had was my phone;)
She was already coming! And was I ever surprised when I walked into that restaurant looking for Big Hair and came upon a table full of my friends. BHE, her husband Cool Breeze, CBW and our blogfest chef Bud, and Momx2 were all sitting there waiting to cheer me up! And they did their job splendidly. I don't know when I've had so much fun. Thank you all, again, for making such an effort. I'm still smiling. And I'm sitting here in my empty house. Smiling.

And this morning? I have an interview for a job that could be really fulfilling and interesting. Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for me!

The perfect remedy for *The Empty Nest Blues* is FRIENDS! Good Lord! What would we do without them?

Good luck on the job interview!

BUD WAS THERE? I totally would have driven to Richmond to see Bud. And you ladies of course, too. :-)

I have a cousin who is starting at UVA this fall - his older brother is 3rd year, and they grew up in England. The girls need to watch out for him and his magic accent.

What fun!!!
Good luck and let me know if they need anyone else to interview for any other jobs they might have. Of course I have no idea if I am qualified but I figure if I can not cry when dropping off NSLO then I can do anything!!! <3

She got you good! I wish you could have seen your face when you realized who was sitting at the table. Priceless!

New job? Well, you sure didn't waste any time trying to fill the void.

What a grand time that was...and Cool Breeze is right, the look on your face was priceless.

It was a wonderful evening and I'm so glad it all worked out. I still feel badly for ignoring your comment but as I said I couldn't stand lying to you, so I thought silence was better than lying!

Good luck with the interview, but make sure you can take off Oyster Fest weekend....

An empty house? I doubt it. All their "stuff" is there. I still have my kids stuff. It multiplies in the dark.

Good luck with the job. What is it?

Oh Mama- Sooo sorry I could not make it - but next time for sure! Glad you all had a grand time! Yes it is possible with out me!
Yeah on the job! See you at the Oyster Fest!

Jealous, jealous, jealous, but terribly happy for you that you had such great Blisters to keep you distracted (and, if I know them, laughing until wine came out your nose). Fingers crossed on the job front!

Shelley Jaffe said...

I'd say I was jealous, but you know that already. These women are such a gift - I am not surprised for a minute that they were there to surprise you and give you some Blister love.

I'd say 'fingers crossed' for your interview, but you will be fabulous as always, and they will see this right away. God help them if they let you get away.

Gotta love blogfriends. What a wonderful thing they did to cheer you up, you lucky girl. P.S. Did you find out whether or not you are allergic to white wine?
