Oh, I know where Mama's mind is...

I was just thinking, do I DARE bring out all the ornaments and do a tree when David will probably only be here for 1-2 days during the holiday season. Will I be able to look back with fondness of what was or sadness of what isn't. Not sure if I'm there yet.

However, your memories are so sweet and they will be cherished forever. Mama! They ain't gone yet! Stop it LOL!! ((Hugs))

Isn't it amazing--and a little cruel--how one minute, it's their first Christmas and the next, they're young adults? Time passes so quickly that sometimes I don't even want to sleep for fear of missing something, but then I get over it because I do love to sleep :).

The ornaments are precious, the tree is gorgeous, and I thank you for sharing...

I love opening the ornaments each year, too. But this year, I am not looking forward to it. I saw two of the boxes and they looked crushed from the two recent moves. And I had some gorgeous things in there. I think I'll put it off as long as I can. I'm trying to ward off the disappointment here.

Those are adorable. I just put mine up yesterday and pulled out all the kindergarten craft ones, complete with pictures of them at that age. It's incredible how quickly the time flies by.

I don't even have to tell you the solution to all of this, but it begins with "w" and ends with "ahhhh."

And you as well;)

Every Christmas when I put up the tree and take out the ornaments, I take a moment to reflect on the origin of some of them. And one of my favorites is to hang the ones from my son's first Christmas - they remind me of what a precious gift he is.

Like Noble Pig, I'm always surprised by what's in my holiday boxes! I did bust out the nutcrackers yesterday. Okay, and one Santa. Maybe a candle holder.
But that's all for now, seriously. It's not even December.

Although my holiday placemats say otherwise!

Wow you are fast! I did get a poinsetta yesterday @ Costco & pulled out the santa hats.

I love opening my ornament boxes. So many memories and all of NSLO's handmade ones. She askes every year why I keep putting them up. My answer is "just to agrevate you!"

Have a great snowy Sunday.

Your tree is already up?? I just finished getting everything cleaned up from the family Thanksgiving feast that overtook my home!!! Well, that's not entirely true. Still have to return the tables and chairs that we borrowed from church:)

Next Saturday looks promising for dragging out the tree....along with all of those special memories!

Those are so cute, and YOU ALREADY HAVE YOUR TREE UP!!!??? Good grief. I have got to get mine going too, but it will be later this week if I am lucky! So much work!

Oh, thank you and you, too! We trimmed the tree Friday and I always get misty looking at little man's ornaments from when he was little (as opposed to the big boy he is now at age seven), plus the ornaments I had as a child.

Ohhh! That is sweet. I drug out the Christmas boxes last night but was overwhelmed and just sat down and looked at them for hours with a glass of wine. Decorating can wait til later.
