Ahh..the final resting place. Serene. Peaceful. Lovely view of the tree.

I have often wanted to walk through here. It reminds me of the grave yard next to the Episcopal Church in Charleston. The one difference being the changing leaves versus the hanging Spanish Moss.

How could a soul not rest in peace in that atmosphere? Looks like a wonderful place to take a walk and meditate.

I find cemetary's VERY PEACEFUL. I go and sit by my Dad at his new address and just totally take it all in...I find it quite calming.

I have often photographed cemetaries. Not only do they depict history, but they are serene domiciles of tranquility. Atlanta has several historic cemetaries that cover a range from the 1700's to present day. Many headstones date back to the Civil War. I have a large slideshow on my blog of one such famous Atlantan cemetary. Lovely colors, Lauren. So peaceful...

Beautiful! I'm over here from Queen Hot Flash's blog and I get over here and there's a cemetery picture...I hope that's not a forewarning of how my day is going to turn out! Just joking. I wanted to stop by to meet another boomer chick.
