Last night, as I was getting ready to go to Augie's football game, I had to get my turtlenecks out. It was that chilly! And on top of the stack was a dead grasshopper. I guess this really is the last weekend of Summer. Hope you all enjoy it!
By the way, we won! 8 to 7. A very exciting game, to say the least.

Congrats - and hurrah for autumn - my favorite season, well, until spring arrives.
yep, I am enjoying it. Thanks for sharing you life, it's more fun than shopping and is good for my check book. :)
Congrats on the victory. I miss high school football - I grew up with the football field almost in my back yard.
I hope the rest of your fall/winter wardrobe is critter free. Just how do they manage to find their way into those spaces is beyond me!
Yeah Prep!!!
I love fall but I do hate to put away my flip flops.
Time once again for baby pictures! Still haven't found the one "we" like.
Have a great saturday MPM
...Yeah, isn't it funny, well, maybe not so much "funny", as it is bewildering, or perplexing, you know maybe even sad, that how as we age we notice even more so the flight of the seasons? It just seems like yesterday it was May...(note to self: stop talking in circles *giggle*)
...You have a great weekend too MPM!
...Blessings... :o)
Happy football win!
I wore a light thermal knit.long sleeve yesterday. But Monday was nice enough for a summer skirt and sandals. What a change. Summer really is at an end!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Looks like this weekend is the last weekend we will be able to eat outside on the deck here.
Bear((( )))
Oh I hate grasshoppers, dead or alive. don't you just love games like close like that? close games make us appreciate them all the more!
I hope the turtleneck stack was in the garage? Otherwise a grasshopper in the closet would have freaked me out!
Love the cooler weather! We were at the highs school football game last night too and I needed a jacket! We lost, nothing new for us. But I was there for my daughter who is in the band and honestly I saw about 60 seconds total of the game. Glad you won though, it makes it so much more exciting!
That's great!!! My Husband coached for all of our life until last year. We went to states, and then he decided to be home more with the kids. I miss highschool football like crazy!
Dare I say it? You have a GRASSHOPPER INFESTATION!!
Quick, get that wine.
Turtlenecks! Yay you! Am so jealous but happy for you! I saw pumpkins today at the supermarket and near lost my mind. :-)
Oh, what fun. You will remember these days. Forever. Love them while they're happening. You're already doing that!
It's chilly here in PA as well. I am going to NYC in November!
Congratulations!!!! on the win!!!! I didn't realize you also had one playing in this organized fighting game called football...what is his position? Hopefully he stays safe. I love cooler weather and football and sweatshirts and jeans...how fun to be wearing turtlenecks...it is still hot as H*** here in the great valley of the sun ☺ Congratulations again!
Congrats :)
I miss David's football days so much, I will come take Augie to every practice, clean out his car and wash his uniform daily. I will iron the jersey inside out with a hankie as to not ruin the inportant adhesive stick on numbers and name. I will video, I will scream at the games. I will cheer for our hero!
I will go into overtime on this post....sigh.
I mean "comment". Duh, see how much I miss it!Congrats on the victory and did you see where Wake beat the Seminoles!!
(David is a FL State fan) hiding in corner.
Oh my weekend Saturday was fabulous. Congrats on the win and have an enjoyable Sunday.
its still warm here (high 80's) but the nights are getting cool, low 50's and high 40's. I LOVE fall!
football=fall in my books. congrats on the win!
Mental P Mama, yay on winning the game! Today is the 1st day of fall. I can handle that, but when winter rolls around...well it hits the fan around here. Brrrr amd Grrrr. And I do mean grrr in a weak depressed sort of way. Not a hearty grrr atall.
Do you think the grasshopper met his demise looking for the turtle in the turtleneck? ha ha! I crack me up.
