This 'n That Thursday

  • I love Katy Perry.  This is my new theme song.
  • Why do some hard boiled eggs put up such a fight during peeling?
  • When did STOP signs become optional?
  • I should be packing.
  • Go see "Moonrise Kingdom."  GO!
  • I cannot get enough celery seed.
  • I am worried about the hummingbirds who visit my feeder.  I hope the new people want to feed them.
  • Actually, I am a little obsessed about all birds.
  • My babies will be 21 three weeks from today.  Where did the time go?
  • I think I'm going to find out what all the excitement over Downton Abbey is about.  That should keep me away from packing for a good while.
  • Annie is coming with me when I make the drive to Tennessee!
  • Any tips on driving long distances with a dog?
  • Okay.  I'm really gonna go get some packing done.  Later.

I've grown to like Katy Perry too. Weird because at one stage I hated her music, now I actually love some of it. :)

I love celery seed also in salads like "egg" that is if we could peel them.

I also like sesame seeds when frying chicken fingers for the girls.

1,2,3 PACK!!!

:)

Great theme song- you are aren't you?! The BEST way to live! We drove long distances with dogs- stop a little more often, let them stretch their legs and do their business, offer them water and give them a treat along the way - ours liked vanilla ice cream cones!

I have always driven long distances with a dog. You have to make stops for pee breaks and fetch. And my dogs have always become accustomed to the boredom and just napped.

Downtown Abbey is exquisite and something to be savored. If you begin, you may put aside the packing.

Watch Downton Abbey, find more fitting songs, talk to Dora, google "100 best uses for celery seed" (I like it in pasta salad with shrimp, cucumber, green onions and pimento), and contemplate those darn eggs a little longer. Do anything and everything except pack. Then, at the appropriate time, call and have the moving people pack you up, too!

Lucky Annie and lucky you...I think you are going to have a fun road trip. This is one of those times I wish I could sit down and talk to you; it seems like there is just SO much...but I'll settle for telling you that I am excited for you!

I see a road trip for Annie, Nurse Nancy and I sometime in the future. So glad Annie is driving with you - that way one of you can be on the look out for any wineries to plan a winery tour!

Dora will truly get to be the explorer on this trip - there will be plenty of new smells along your trip.

So glad Annie is going with you, this is going to be one great adventure.

The packing will get done.

Dora will be fine.

Relax and enjoy the time.

p.s. I am on vacation so everything is seen through rose-colored wine glasses.

Dixie and I logged a LOT of miles together. The majority of the miles were without another human along so the best thing I did was to get a second set of keys. I could leave the engine running and have the doors locked while I went inside for my pit stops!
