I love irony.
Do I love how my planter finally blooms in October?
Now that all our sparkly Summer water is covered?
Not really.
But do I love how there is wonderful life everywhere?
Yes.
Yes I do.
Have a safe and wonderful weekend.
And show your blooms every chance you get.

Some things are always better late in life. (Just not sure what.)
Better late than never, or some such, right?
Enjoy your weekend. It feels like a spring morning here - humid, overcast, and breezy. By tomorrow, though, highs are forecasted to be in the SIXTIES. Brr!
We got 4+ inches of snow last night! My tomatoes finally started setting on, then they got hailed out. They came out of that trauma, set on tomatoes again, and then the first freeze. Never again...I'll just buy the tasteless ones from the store.
Your flowers are beautiful!

Irony is a fun thing - isn't it? I have some flowers starting to bloom now too! Plus - my tomatoes are doing wonderfully.
I remember first reading your blog last summer and noted that you were a brave person to post a photo of your dead flowers! Most everyone else posts the beautiful and the perfect! I said to myself...this lady has nothing to hide!
Ironing is the worst, I'd rather wear my clothes wrinkled than do it.
Wait, you said irony. Never mind.
Flowers are gorgeous, enjoy them while you can. Winter peeks around the corner.
I'll be showing my blooms tonight!
I take my blooms wherever and whenever I can get them. Have a great weekend!
Or show your bloomers...
I'm with Nurse Nancy. I'll take blooms anytime, anywhere.

Show my bloomers?!?!?!? Oh, my blooms...got it!
Ahhh... the sweetest flowers are those that bloom after the rest have wilted & gone away.
Have a glorious weekend!

Enjoy them while you can.... they'll be gone before you know it.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Isn't it funny how they do that???
You, too, have a wonderful weekend!

My rosebush is blooming. The last days of October. In Maryland. After our first frost. Who knew?

Nature does it's own thing. Whether we like it or not.
Have a great weekend Mental P Mama!
it looks gorgeous.
It really is ironic. It's supposed to be 70 here tomorrow.
They look beautiful, even without the sparkling water. I still have a yard full of blooming flowers!
I know, right? Like how my tomato plants are finally covered in green tomatoes which will never grow or ripen. Grr!
Being here in Minnesota, I may have to settle for showing my bloomers every chance I get. Talk about sparkly! :)
Same here!
I think everything's all discombobulated from the weird spring weather we had!
Those are beautiful.....Happy Halloween to you.....
Well, it's very pretty even if it's blooming after the pool is closed!
That is funny.
No matter, the blooms are still nice to look at even if the pool is closed for the winter. Next year find some plants or seeds that bloom early and some later, and etc, that way you can have blooms all summer long.
Sometimes things just bloom when you need it the most.
I love to see the blooms any time of year. Are those pink geraniums? My favorite :)
If I could get past the fact that your water cover isn't sewn up like a Tim Burton rag doll (that would be our winter cover), I'd probably say that those blooms are lovely AND smart-- the focus is now on the planter and there's no competition from the sparkly water.
Deb's right! I remember the dead flowers :-)
