This-n-That Thursday

Autumn's simple pleasures:
  • Biting into that first, crisp apple.
  • The gorgeous sugar maples and their leaves.
  • Being alone at the beach. Not counting the seagulls.
  • Mums.
  • The wonderful smell of wood burning in the fireplace.
  • Good hair.
  • Sweaters and boots.
  • Soup.
  • The crunch of the fallen leaves under your feet.
  • Using the oven.
  • Flannel pj's.
  • Football games.
  • An evening bath with lavender epsom salts and tea tree oil.
  • Hot tea.
  • Halloween candy.
  • Going to visit your babies at their first college parents' weekend.
Yours?

Have a great trip.

Bonfires in the fall are fun, especially when there are oysters roasting over the open flames....

Love all those and will live vicariously through your list, as those things won't happen here for a while.

I hope you relish the time with your babies! Spoil them rotten.

All things about fall make me smile. I've been munching on crisp apples for some time now.

Fall...sigh...I love this season.

crisp clear mornings (same as summer here but colder); fire in the fireplace (soon); fog on the mountains across the way; hot cups of soup; the leaves changing color; college football; fires in the outdoor fireplace; snuggling in my favorite quilt(s); baking goodies to name a few.

I want your good things!!!! I miss my never-have-lived-life in apple land.

Try candy corn mixed with salted peanuts - tastes like a Payday candy bar.

Enjoy the road trip!

My husband emailed me and said it was snowing great big juicy clumps. So, is it not fall any more?

My favorite part of fall (and winter) is hot cider at the greenmarket.

I agree with EVERY.SINGLE.ONE of those! Well...I wouldn't know about the last one, but I imagine it is equally as good, in fact better!

The shorter days. I love it when I wake up and it's still dark, and pulling the curtains at 4.00pm in the evening.

Mine are all of yours, except for the Halloween candy. None for me this year.
