Book Winner!

My random number generator is such a funny boy....
And #22 is my friend Flash Stitcher!
Another empty-nester just like me.
Our daughters just graduated from the same school.
I happen to know she is on her way for Parents' Weekend.
Where I will be in two weeks for The Bird.
Sigh.
Congrats Flashy! Have a wonderful time;)
Now everybody else, get out there and have a great weekend!
Anybody have great plans?

I get to meet Paul Simon tomorrow night.
Oh, yes I do!

He's a great number-picker. Congratulations Flash Stitcher!

No plans this weekend but next weekend I am going with a smoke-free friend (whose birthday is today, by the way) on a boat trip to Tangier Island with state senator Ralph Northam. Tangier is out in the middle of the bay. My goal is not to get sea sick.

Have a great time with Paul Simon! Tell him hey from Virginia.

My weekend plans include the following:
Saturday - take down all blinds and power wash them. Clean windows while blinds are drying. Re-hang blinds. Clean house. Grocery Shop. Attend a baby shower. (yes all this in one day. I think wine will be needed on Saturday night. Medic!)

Sunday - hang out with my friend GypsyBiscuit at the Lincoln Apple Festival and then head to the pumpkin patch.

And we'll sing: 'If you'll be my bodyguard, I'll be your long lost pal. I can call you Betty and Betty, when you call me you can call me Al.'

I thought you were going to meet David Letterman's Extortionist this weekend....

For us? It's the last high school Homecoming for Snow White. Excuse me while I go and find a tissue...

I can think of 50 things I'd rather be doing than what I am doing this weekend.

That's a little alusion to Paul, you know.

I'll be cleaning. And waiting to hear all about your 'date'.

I hope the Gala is enormously successful and that Paul serenades you!

Congrats to FlashStitcher!

Tell Paul Simon I said "hi" and please ask him to explain the lyrics from "Mother and Child Reunion." I'm a psychologist so I don't think I'm clueless in the understanding of mother and child dynamics. But I don't get it, or think I do but then I read the next lyric and get confused again.

Anyone?

I'm so glad that the twins are useful! Now don't distract them too much, Momma, they have to study.

I saw the Broadway musical "Legally Blonde." It was very fun.

I missed the book give-a-way :( but it gives me a good reason to pout so I'm happy.

Grad school is killing my blog-life. ERg.
