This-n-That Thursday

Because I know you've been wondering....
  • I am not admitting how many times this month I have aimed the phone at the television and cussed when the channel didn't change.
  • I stopped watching the stock market three weeks ago.
  • I happily wrote a check for  $50  To The Connecticut Foodbank.  Thanks to everyone who commented (all 42 of you...I rounded up).
  • My inability to suffer fools increases daily.
  • Have you noticed how many fools there are these days?
  • Should I do the Mental P Mama Book Club, and how would it work?
  • I don't think I can wait until this election is over.  Campaign Fatigue.
  • I am craving a new puppy.  Wonder if it's hormonal?
  • Did anyone ever see the movie, The Abominable Dr. Phibes?  Best Horror movie ever.  I actually saw it in a theater.  Pronounced "thee-ater" at the time.
  • Everyone should make Dlyn's Apple Cheese Crisp tonight.  It's that good.
  • Tonight is Mischief Night.  Hmmm.
  • I have had the song "Everybody Wang Chung Tonight" stuck in my head for what seems like weeks.

I like the idea of a book club. No idea how it would work, though.

Oh, and I had "Wake me up before you go-go" stuck in my head for an entire summer once. It was brutal.

Reliving my semi-youth.Now that Led Zep wants to reunite and Robert Plant is holding out, just peeves me. What a stick in the mud he is! I would go in a nanosec!

Book club yes!

Wait to fill the empty nest with the puppy!

"Dr. Phibes"? - no but I am waiting to see "Horrors of the Black Museum" my favorite from the 60's.

Election....no one knows what lever gets pulled til the end...

Yep, it's stuck in my head now too...

That's awesome about the donation!

Yes, to the book club...please? Start another blog separate from this one, decide on the book and give everyone a two week advance notice of begin date. Post the weeks discussion questions on the blog and we can all answer with our thoughts. Google book club, blogspot and see examples of others.

Will go check out the apple cheese crisp..

Love you...there is political funniness on my post today...sorry.

Maybe I'm hormonal, too, because after 20 years of teaching lit I find that I really don't want to hear what everyone thinks about every discussion question.

Ew! That was bad. Sorry. Give me a couple of days and then I'll happily join your book club!

You did not just say Everybody Wang Chung Tonight. Great. Now it's in my head, too.

What do you mean USED to pronounce it "thee-ater"? How else would one say theater? :-)

I've tried to participate in online book clubs before but I never found one that took. I'd be interested in yours. Maybe some smart person can tell us how it should work.

I'm over this election. Much looking forward to Wednesday.

Everybody Wayne Chung tonight...everybody Wayne Chung tonight...
Oh, the puppy may be hormonal. I got one not long ago. I already had two dogs. It was hormonal I think. I can't suffer fools too well either lately. It makes my face flush just thinking of all of them.

I had a hysterectomy and a week later we got a dog. Coincidence? I think not.

no, don't do a book club , you might include the shack by young...that would be a disaster
