I Feel So Much Better About Myself

"Bridgeport, CT, AP-- A Connecticut judge has given the brush-off to a blonde woman's lawsuit claiming L'Oreal Inc. ruined her social life when she accidentally dyed her hair brunette with one of its products.

Charlotte Feeney of Stratford says she can never return to her natural blonde hue, a shock that left her so traumatized she needed anti-depressants.

She says she suffered headaches and anxiety, missed the attention that blondes receive and had to stay home and wear hats most of the time.

A Superior Court judge dismissed Feeney's 2005 lawsuit Monday, saying she never proved her allegation that L'Oreal put brown hair dye in a box labeled as blonde.

The company also had disputed the claim.  Feeney referred questions on Wednesday to her attorney, David Laudano, who has declined comment."

Um, Charlotte, honey, let me tell you about the time Joe at Nico Nico Salon colored my hair PURPLE. There were no lawsuits, no meds (although I am going to remember that option), no missed attention.  As a matter of fact, I recall lots of people looking at me.  Annie, do you remember that?

Can you imagine what our legal system would look like if everyone sued when they had a bad hair day?

First ... was this woman blind? Or does she color her hair while wearing a blindfold or in a dark room? HOW could she NOT see that the contents of the bottle was DARK?

And if her hair was naturally blonde, WHY was she coloring it?

Total waste of time/money lawsuit ... so glad the judge tossed it out ...

Next issue!

I never sued Aqua Net because MY hair wasn't big enough in the '80s. My life has been one bad hair day after another. How do I cope? Wine.

Good Lord...What is the deal? So maybe brown hair actually looks better on you. And I agree with daryl, why were you coloring it in the first place if you were already blond? Buy a wig! We don't care!

Yup - your hair was really a very lovely shade of lavender, (and I remember my 95 year old grandmother having that very same shade). I also remember Joe telling you it really did look ok. Oh, and then you telling him he was full of you-know-what.

On a better note, (at least in my book), Connecticut's Supreme Court just overturned CT's same-sex marriage ban. That makes me very happy. Now there are 3 states that have come to their senses.

I read this yesterday. You wouldn't believe some of the lies people tell in the salon that gets them comped services and apologies. I guess the same doesn't hold true with over the counter hair color (in which case, you deserve the "wrong color")

Sorry, I'm kind of snooty about hair color and hair products. If you spent $5 on a box of L'oreal, you're on your own baby!

That's great news about Connecticut Annie! Woo Hoo!

In that case I could have sued when my deep auburn turned out to be more like pumpkin orange. I had to dye it three more times to get it to a semi acceptable shade of burgundy.....

Bwahaha! I dyed my hair brunette once. It was awful. Blonde - not a color I've ever considered. Hmmm ...

I think brunettes are gorgeous, intelligent, witty, fun-loving, ummm...trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent...oh, wait a minute...I believe part of that is the Boy Scout Law! lol Well, anyway, we brunettes have got it goin' on! That girl should've thanked her lucky stars when she became one of us...sheesh.

Saw your name on someone else's blog...can't remember whose it was, though. I've been reading some of your previous posts. You're a hoot. :o)

OMG, well thank goodness it was thrown out...just frivolous and ridiculous...I think I'll sue Maybelline because my lashes just aren't long enough.

Dude I am gonna dye my hair purple, but say it was naturally green, then sue clairol. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well ain't that the truth.

Speaking of legal systems. I heard CT has jumped on the gay marriage wagon. No. No. No.

How did I miss this one.
If she is a natural blonde, when her hair grows wouldn't the roots be that shade?
Poor sucky baby missed *the attention* blondes receive.
Hey blondie--GET A LIFE!

If it were brown dye, couldn't she tell? She is still a blonde at heart, and isn't that all the really counts?

If I sued because of my hair I would be in a new law suit every single day. I haven't had to color it yet but I'm sure that will just add to the delight of my mirror. It is the mirrors fault I look the way I do. Isn't it? Perhaps I can sue the company who made the mirror.

I don't know how that woman can ever pull her life back together. So sad. Imagine being brunette, oh wait... I would bring suit for at least a million. And how will she make up for all of the attention that she's missing? Her mama must have never told her how hard that life can be. Since I've been Pecan No. 18, my life has been a living hell.
