Goodbye O.J.

Finally.
13 years to the day after being acquitted of murdering his former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, O.J. Simpson was found guilty of kidnapping and armed robbery.  He could spend the rest of his life in prison.
The Universe is working.

You have to wonder . . . here was a man who literally had everything he could ever want. How in the world did he come to this? I mean, seriously!

Glad to know he is at least going to do some suffering for something found wrong.

It is hard to know even with our system of justice who is innocent and who is guilty. I'm sure there will be some that say he was railroaded this time. I think he probably got the fairest trial possible, but which juror could really be objective after his last trial.

But even if you discounted all the time he's spent in a courtroom... his behavior in real life... who would write a book called "If I did it" knowing the impact it would have on the victim's families.

Like Trisha said... he once had everything... and now....? Yikes. No more monogrammed cuffs for him for a while.

While it is true that sometimes it is hard to figure out who is innocent and who is guilty, I also think it is true that sometimes it isn't hard to figure out at all.

There are so many cliches that work here..."what goes around comes around," "when someone SHOWS you who they are, believe them" and "KARMA IS A BITCH." Well...it all depends on how you look at it. In this case, Karma got it just exactly right.

And you know there are going to be some people who are gonna have something to say about this verdict and that it wasn't fair, blah, blah, blah. Well, the last one wasn't fair either. Again, all depends on how you look at it.

I think it turned out JUST RIGHT :).

See justice isn't blind, it's just a little slow.

I was jumping up and down in my living room last night when they announced it. I had the chills, and I happily drinking my coffee thinking about him wearing an orange jumpsuit this morning and shoes without laces. The jerk.

13 years to the day??? I knew I loved that number...awesome news.
However...I heard this morning that the judge allowed things brought up in court in reference to his other trial if you can believe that. Of course an appeal will occur so don't count your chickens before they hatch. It is OJ after all. Let's hope this time he gets all that he deserves=)

I was in bed watching AC360 on CNN when they interrupted the broadcast to announce the verdicts.

I cheered. At 12:45 a.m. in my bed. And I didn't feel a bit silly.

I would have bet they would have found him innocent. They were all thugs. Payback is hell though.

Yes, it's working :)

I feel odd that I'm not dancing in the street over OJ.
I mean, he’s probably guilty, right? That’s just a sad statement on his life... that everything he's done up until now, all the accomplishments, all the potential... gone.

And the fact that in the process of destroying his life and those around him, he has so clearly divided a nation that will forever debate his guilt or innocence. Conceptually set race relations back decades...? Even sadder.

Yes! I remember that day well 13 years ago. I was working in a public high school and all of the black population, even the teachers, were cheering. The rest of us were incredulous. I don't mean to sound prejuiced. I didn't see it as black or white. I saw it as a murder that someone had gotten away with.

I believe in Karma, and I'll bet now OJ does too!!

Try to get out of this one, OJ....

It is incredibly eerie to me that it is 13 years to the day. I'm not surprised he finally is found guilty of something, but the 13 years to the day thing really causes me to pause.

One can hope. This guy is like a cat - he keeps landing on his feet.. and appears to have numerous lives. I'm skeptical that he'll be out of circulation for long.

I can't believe that the man has been free for the past 13 years. I've never seen such a pathetic excuse for a trial. I'm just glad that he didn't have on a glove when he committed the robbery. Everyone knows that if a glove is too small, you're innocent of any crime.....

All I can say about that photo is "boo hoo". Isn't it ironic that he was convicted for trying to steal back "his belongings" he was trying to hide so he wouldn't have to hand it over to the Goldmans? I bet he is just chomping at the bit to write another book while in jail.

The Universe is definitely on its own plan, time, and rhythm---like you said, point in case.
