Tuesday Text: Parentexting™

The one where Mama goes to Florida to work at a triathlon and gets bitten by the bug:

If he won't do it with me, do any of you want to?

This-n-That Thursday

It's all about me. Yawn:
  • I misplaced my tweezers for a day. It was hell.
  • I am going to play bridge tonight for the first time in a long while. I feel lucky. I hope they have lots of money.
  • I am in a wardrobe crisis. The s-word is in the forecast for this afternoon. And in the 60's by Sunday.
  • I am obsessed with Van's gluten-free blueberry waffles.
  • I have killer shin splints.
  • I have new chewable vitamin D3 things. They taste like rum candy. I swear.
  • I cannot wait to see my babies next week!
  • I got that shellac polish for a manicure on Saturday. I love it.
  • I also got a big, faux Princess Diana ring. I love it, too.
  • I have to run a half marathon in 47 days. It ain't gonna be pretty.
Now tell me something random about you.

Full Disclosure:

Disliking Gym Says You Are Thoughtful

You are thoughtful, philosophical, and downright cerebral.

For you, gym is too intense and competitive. You aren't always in the mood for playing hard.

You may or may not be into exercise - but any physical movement you do is under your own terms.

You don't get your happiness through thrills or adrenalin rushes. Your bliss comes from quiet reflection.

I really hated gym. Hated it. But I love to exercise. Well, maybe love is a strong word...I value exercise. Go figure. What about you?

This-n-That Thursday

Random thoughts and bad things:
  • The Bird and I saw Eclipse yesterday. It was good! And that Kristen Stewart actually looked pretty.
  • A random blogger I occasionally read is an attorney in Texas. He eloped last weekend in Vegas, and I felt a twinge of envy. What's that about?
  • I did Day One of P90X, and a week later, did half of Day Two. Fail.
  • So now, I am researching the Nike Plus. Anybody have a review for me?
  • We are friends with a couple, and the husband is openly dating another woman. Openly. Should we tell the wife?
  • Did you know that there is a device you can put on a cell phone and get a report on every call and text from that phone? Sad.
  • I think honesty and integrity are more important to me in a partner than anything else. I guess that's what being 50 brings....
  • I just found two different apps that help you find your car in a parking lot. Seriously? Are we that dumb?
  • Speaking of dumb, why would anyone run for public office?

Where the mama decides to get fit with some DVD's:

And she resorts to all manner of bribery and whining:
Stay tuned for the new, buff MPM.
Has anybody out there done P90X?

Friday Funday

Let's gear up for a rollicking weekend Mental P style...
  • Teeth scraping and gum gouging dentist appointment.
  • Eat a sensible egg white omelet.
  • Happily chop away at put on hazmat suit and brave more of Augie's laundry pile.
  • Tweezer time.
  • Order these. Hey, they're free....
  • More laundry.
  • Check what's going on with Facebook and the owlets.
  • See what the neighbors are doing.
  • Squats.
  • Eat a healthy salad.
  • Check what's going on with Facebook and the hummingbird nest.
  • Back in Augie's room, discover what that smell is.
  • Eat a pound of dark chocolate. It's good for your circulation.
  • Do more squats.
  • Fortified, go back in Augie's room. Give up after a few minutes.
  • Check in magnifying mirror for new arrivals to attack with tweezers.
  • Open red wine. Hey, it's good for your circulation.
  • Declare day over.
What are you doing today?

Dog Show

Westminster ain't the only show in town...
Check out this Westport pooch:
If I was the owner of that dog,
I'd sleep with my eyes open.
That outfit right there is downright humiliating.

Nothing like this:

Resolution Request

I need some ideas for resolutions that I won't keep can live by. All I can come up with is that 2010 will be a year of no more water retention. Or itching. Anybody?

Waiting, Impatiently

With a nod to Daryl, who coined the phrase,
Dora is waiting, very impatiently, for her mommy to come home.
And take her for a walk.
Goodness knows we both need the exercise;)
Happy Saturday.

Innie or Outie?

I think Kelly Ripa looks amazing.
She obviously works hard on her fitness regime.
But I don't think I've ever noticed her belly button.
And I'm a little weirded out.
What is it doing?
I am seriously not going to do any more crunches if that is going to happen.  I'm just so proactive that way.
No Sirree.
Oh no.  I want mine to stay like it is.
I think I have a somewhat Innie at this point.
But I can't find it haven't looked lately.
You?
